cursors came with mephistocorugan's mmx mercury theme..

for those havin trouble.

0. edit the damn shell32.dll, basically just 'replace bitmaps' and matchin the numbers :D save as shell32.mmx in system32 folder

1. go to your dllcache(its hidden) and rename your shell32.dll to shell32.bak

2. go back to system32 folder, and you will see shell32.dll and shell32.mmx next to each other. rename shell32.dll to shell32.bak and shell32.mmx to shell32.dll. You will get 2 windows file protection msgs. Screw em hard. In the ass.

3. restart.

thanks locke. that was the info i needed. :)

I edited my "throbber" (never knew it was called that...?) simply colorizing it to match MMX. Hellofa lot easier than redoing the whole thing. :)

Below are screenshots. I included two because I have a question: see in the xp-erience.org screenshot, the scroll bar on the left is skinned (using my theme's scrollbar) but in the neowin pic, the scrollbar is flat and ugly? Is that a vBulletin thing? Just curious...

Yeah, it is kind of a strange name for the throbber :s

The scrollbars aren't skinned on some sites if they use css to match it to the colors on their site (which can look great in many cases).

If it really gets to you you may be able to write your own stylesheet to make the scroller always match you theme (I've never tried this, so it may not work).

Go to Tools -> General then down to accessibility -> format documents according to my style sheets.

Thanks!

Sorry dumb question: in shell32.dll it looks like the throbber bmps are 240, 241, 242, 245, 246, 247.

Should I just assign mavis's bmps in order (the numbers aren't the same though)?

Edit: nm.. tried that and it seemed to work.

I'm currently working on replacing every icon in shell32.dll (At least every 16 million color one) When i'm done (Couple of days) i'll have screenshots, icons and a list of them all posted.

*bump* been a couple days :ponder:

    • This 4K webcam from Acer is now only $59.99 by Taras Buria Those looking for an affordable, high-resolution webcam from a reputable manufacturer can check out the latest deal from Acer, which puts its 4K webcam at a solid price. Thanks to a 14% discount, you can buy this all-metal 4K webcam from Acer for just $59.99. Despite the affordable price tag, the webcam has a pretty large 1/2" CMOS sensor manufactured by Sony. Apart from its size, it supports additional conveniences, such as high dynamic range and phase-detection autofocus (PDAF). Plus, the camera ensures you do not have to buy additional audio equipment, as it comes with two built-in high-sensitivity microphones, a built-in background noise filter, and the ability to pick up your voice from up to 2.5 meters away. Acer is not cheaping out on materials, and the webcam is enclosed in a more premium metal case, which is also good at heat dissipation (high-resolution cameras can get quite hot). And to make sure no one is peeping at you when the camera is in use, there is a magnetic cover also made of metal. Additional conveniences include an LED status indicator and a built-in mount that lets you place a camera on a tripod. • Stop reporting AR glasses as an X inch screen, Y distance away. That is a horseshit meaningless spec. Report on the actual FOV angle. That's all that matters. And for the record, this FOV is ~49degrees. So we're talking about HoloLens level FOV... i.e. it's like looking through a piece of paper at arm's length.
