3 Questions (HELP PLEASE!)

Three seperate question about Windows XP Problems. Thanks in advance for any help.

Problem 1: My windows logon has randomly gone back to the old style logon. Anyone know why, or how to fix this?

Problem 2: I have duel monitors. One (ASTVision 7L on NVIDIA RIVA TNT2 Model 64/Model 64 Pro, the other Philips 107B (107B1) on Intel® 82810E Graphics Controller. The one with a problem is the NVIDIA TNT2 one. Everytime I logon to my computer (only since I hooked up the dual monitors) the color quality is messed. It says it's on 32Bit, but everything looks distorted. If I change it to 16 bit, then back to 32bit everything goes back to looking nice nice, I know it's not much, but it's annoying.

Problem 3: I just reinstalled my Norton AntiVirus 2002. But everytime I open the program, it'll show the config window, but after about 15 seconds, the program just closes (doesn't crash, just closes).

Any answers to any of these questions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

start button, control panel, user accounts, change the way users log on or log off, use the welcome screen.

do you use a custom logonui? If so try restoring the original and see what happens. As far as the color being screwed up, only time I had a problem with that was when I used NetMeeting's Remote Desktop in Win2k...

Question 1: Are you part of a domain? When you join a domain, you are automatically switched to the classic logon scheme.

Did you press Ctrl+Alt+Del at the welcome screen?

Question 1: Did you install any additional software when you installed the second monitor?

Question 3: Did this problem occur before you reinstalled NAV? Have you tried reinstalling NAV again?

Drewster2100: The reason about the sig thing is because I made the sig after my first post.

Fonze: Why should the sig be taken off?

codyg11: I didn't install any additional software. I tried to reinstall nav, even tried to install free anti virus software off the net and it does the same thing.

Well... I can't answer to any of your questions about computer (I'd make shur I have the latest drivers for my Graphic card though...)

But for your question to fonze... That Sig should probably be removed coz this is a general admitance site... and that pic might be to some a little... controversial... well that's what I think he meant and I don't completely disagree with him... Try to get a girl that's not naked... :)

If you didn't disable it and its in good working order, just use system restore.

Showing her ass is fine, just can't show the others. There's no problem with the sig or I would of been msg'ed by now by a mod. Anyways I got the latest drivers :( and system restore no work :(. Oh well :(. Thanks anyways.

I recommend ditching XP if you are having problems and head on back to 2000. I refuse to reinstall XP until SP1 because I have to reformat too often. I've never been so happy with Windows 2000, its perfect. Speed is much better, and I haven't had any problems at all since I installed 2000 two months ago. Can't wait til SP3 of Win2k.
