Modules will be downloaded as .amp files (Autopatcher Module Package). It's actually a zip file with a new extension.

Did you consider making modules from 7z (seven zip) archives instead of zip?

Greater compression ratios, OPEN SOURCE (http://sourceforge.net/projects/sevenzip)?

I believe everyone would only benefit of this ;)

I second that. It's helped in other projects that I'm helping with, such as the Ultimate Boot CD 4 Windows. Gotta keep the download as small as possible... :)

Yup 7Zip would give better compression, atleast compared to RAR and ZIP but i got a new beta of UHARC GUI , it allows SFXing of UHARC.

PS: When will you'll allow the download of a Preview in which we can create our modules, :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot: my vacation started yesterday so i'm totally free.

a preview version is already available days now (just look around this thread). Yesterday however, I uploaded an updated test package:

AutoPatcher 5.0 Test Package (updated) (3MB)

In \tools folder you will find a Module Editor

In \modules folder you will find a couple of .amp files and a Module Installer

In \modules folder you will also find a few unencrypted .amc files
