Same here, it bothers me too.

Where are we going wrong. I think the pride for playing for the country is missing in players now. And if it's not missing it's very much in less amount. I feel the Gangulys, Tendulkar, Shewags and the rest big names are just keen on making moni.

Everybody is interested in making money. it would be a lie to say otherwise. Indian cricketers are involved in endorsements etc., for more than a decade, its nothing new. I also dont think that the pride of playing for the country is lacking as it was seen in the last Test against Australia. I think the thing Indian cricketers lack is self confidence.

The skipper and the coach lack new ideas, thinking and appproach. No wonder teams around the world have worked out the Indian famous batting line up...

True that ... I think its time for a change. Both a new captain and a new coach. Jonty Rhodes as a fielding coach is one of the wisest decision but BCCI doesnt look interested in it. When Ganguly is not a captain anymore he will have to perform for his slot and he wont be able to fly under the radar anymore.

There are names out there who should be given a chance people like Mongia, Badani and the rest. I think big names should be dropped if they don't perform and we should bring in young new blood. Look at Woolmer thats whats he doing with Pakistan.

Mongia & Badani had their chances. It would be better if new guys are given a chance like Munaf Patel & Ambati Rayadu.

Regarding the Aussies recent tour of India, What a nightmare Indians have been caught sleeping in every department. And it proves the point what 'Bhajj' Said. 'Play from your heart'

Yes, the tour was complete disappointment. I dont think we failed in all departments; not the bowling as the guys did bowl the Aussies out quite a few times, only our batsmen failed to put up decent scores in all the matches. Remember the first test ? Irfan Pathan scoring fifty ? lol

Anyway, I dont think Ganguly will be the captain if we lose to South Africa too because that would be even more shameful as South Africa is no where near Australia's calibre. One thing about Sehwag, if he doesnt perform better, he should be axed too. Since he is becoming more of Afridi now, doing well every 8th or 10th inning or such.

They have a good batting lineup, but their bowlers :x . (excluding a few). 292 was a big score, but their bowlers never looked like taking wickets or stopping runs. As Pakistan fan, I should thank BCCI for playing Nehra and Zaheer. :)

Pakistan just outplayed India in every department.

India needs a new coach and captain. Look what India did to Pakistan in Pakistan few months ago. I belive that it's a time for change now.. And they should do it. Otherwise people will get in the team on the basis of favours and will stay there even if they don't perform.

Woolmer has been good for Pakistan and we need a coach who is in control can't say that about Mr John Wright.

I agree, There needs to be some change in the team and the Coach should be the one who should go. How about the Captain also. I mean I like Ganguly but I think it would be nice if someone else gets the chance.

First thing they need to do is build up the team with new players and mix them with the more experienced players. Once they have a stable working team then I think the results will improve.

Its a great pity, that we have a great batting line up but our bowlers just cannot compare expcept maybe the spinners.
