If You Want To Create Traffic To Your Site...

This a great guide for webmasters. It's written by Allen Says from Internet Marketing Warriors. Hope you like it.

Unique Services

Create Something Unique That Will Make Others Link To You!

The name of the game on the Internet is how many links there are on the Internet that lead back to your site. The more you have, the more money you can make - it's that simple and nothing else matters.

The reason I say nothing else matters is because if you don't have links leading to your site, it doesn't matter if your web site is good or bad, almost no one will be coming to see it.

If you do have many links leading to your site then you can test any web site you want to see which makes the most money. You don't even need your own product. You can promote other people's products and make a fortune if you have enough links leading back to you.

You must come up with some way to cause 1000 of links to be created that lead to your site...

Let me show you exactly why...

Let's take the Special Report Network as an example. I had a programmer friend of mine create the script for it in just a couple days.

It was a simple idea...take something that was already working and make it better, make it faster and automatic.

Here it is just a few months later and there are now over 35,000 sites linked to me because of this simple idea.

And I can do anything I want with it. Advertise on it, direct hits to other places when they are done with the site, capture email addresses, sell advertising space and so on.

It's just a baby and still generates over 100,000 hits a month.

Here's another example...

Ralph Marston's site lets people put up a small image on their own site that changes every day and gives a "thought for the day". It's very popular and creates thousands of hits for him.

Here's another....

InsiderReports.com has a service where you can add a search engine to your site that will allow your visitors to search through a few thousand special reports. This gets them thousands of hits in return.

Give Away Web Space!

Here's an easy way to create traffic I've recommended to the Warrior Group for a long time....

Offer free web site hosting. Your banner or text link should appear on every website on your server. Make your free web space service different from others somehow. Spice it up in some way and attract as many people as you can.

As more people come and visit your site, many will setup their own free site with you. Let's say you get 1000 hits a day from giving away the sites. If you are selling a hot product that gets you at least a 2% response rate, you will average 20 sales a day. If your product sells for $29.95 that comes to $599.00 a day.

Give Away Autoresponders!

Free autoresponders are a very powerful way to get thousands of people clicking to your site. E-Mail gets a much better response than most marketing you can do.

When you give away autoresponders, a link to your site is tagged on to the end of every autoresponder on your system. Find a host that allows you to have unlimited autoresponders and you're set to go.

Create A Hot New Software!

New software is one of the things that spread the fastest on the Internet. If you can program or know someone who can, see if you can think up some unique software that will take the web by storm.

Host CGI Forms!

Do you know how to work with simple cgi forms?

Did you know there are millions of people who can't figure them out but still need them badly?

Maybe you could host them for them?

Warrior member David Beroff has over 50,000 sites linking back to him.

How?

He provides a service millions of people need badly. The ability to host forms. Order forms, response forms, complaint forms etc. He hosts the forms for free on his server.

The kicker is, David can advertise anything he wants on ALL 50,000 of those response forms!

Create eBooks For Others!

Do you have eBook publishing software?

You could start a service where you make eBooks for others free. The only charge for your service is a noticeable link on the front of the eBook direct to your site.

It saves the client from $70 to $150 and creates a flow of traffic for you as soon as they release the eBook to the public.

This could end up being better than writing your own eBook. Most people have no idea how simple it is to create an eBook. If you create 100 eBooks for people and all of them have a link on the front cover to your site - you will soon be in a very sweet position.

100 eBooks multiplying across the Internet at the same time...

All of them advertising your site...

How do you go about creating a unique service?

You could start by looking at every script out there differently.

You could find a script that does one thing, hook up with a programmer, have him modify it and make it do something else. Something different that will make people want to link to you because of it.

I can't tell you exactly what to create because if I knew I would already have my programmers on it...that I can assure you.

I created the Special Report Network and ResponseMaster just by tracking my logs. I have another secret project being worked on now and I am constantly looking for more ideas. So believe me if I find one I won't be running my head about it.

Since we are talking about this let me say this: If you have a killer idea and no money contact me. If I think it will really work we will make a deal and get it going - now!

The programmers I work with can do anything I ask. They might charge me an arm and a leg but they can get it done.

Don't think your idea won't work. The Special Report Network was the goofiest thing I have ever thought of and it works like crazy and is growing fast. Even though I had no less than 15 copy cats a month later it's still going strong. One fellow who gives custom classified ad pages away to people copied me almost word for word. He could have at least been a little creative :-)

Be prepared for that. When you create something that works you will have copy cats spring up everywhere. That's why when you do create something awesome you contact people like me who can tell 1000's about it all at once. Plus, many of those I tell have 1000's of their own subscribers that they will tell and so on.

That way you capture a huge head start before anyone else has time to copy you. I don't accept everything that comes my way but I am always on the lookout for new ideas that will work.

Start looking hard at the way others do things to get traffic to their sites and see if you can't twist it up in some way and create a new way to get traffic to your own site. It's not that hard to do. You may even become the next hotmail.com :) What are they worth now, a few billion?

Special Reports

Do you have a subject related to the products you sell that you can write about and give away for free?

If so, it is a very simple but powerful way of getting thousands of sites to link to you or host your report on their own site. The number of sites that will host your report will vary according to the subject of the report.

I know for marketing and money-making there are thousands of sites that host other people's reports. In fact most business sites you see have a number of reports and articles on them for their visitors to read.

The steps are very simple..

1. Write a report that provides people with valuable information. The better the report the more it gets posted and linked to.

2. Add a resourcebox at the end of the report showing ways people can contact you, your email, web site etc. State that the reader may give the report away freely as long as the contents remain unchanged. Have a copyright on it.

3. Send the report to every e-zine on the Internet and Submit it to all the search engines. You can also find sites that host reports like yours and email them directly and ask if they would like to offer yours to their visitors. The direct approach works!

Those 3 simple steps will do it...

It's completely free to do and will drive a constant flow of traffic to your site. Write 4 or 5 reports that really make people's heads roll and a year from now you will be suprised at the traffic they bring in daily.

Not only that...if you follow step 3 you could make a bundle of cash you didn't expect real quick...

How?

By one of those e-zines with a huge subscription sending your report to all their subscribers. You will get a quick flood of hits and orders for what you are selling on your site. (if people are buying what you are selling)

To get a deeper understanding about the power of special reports try to remember a time when you read an article that made you say things like.."this guy is on the money"..."Ah Ha..that's how you do that"....and so on?

Remember how it made you feel toward the author?

Did you ever end up buying something from that author?

For many of you I know the answer to those questions is yes.

That's what good articles do...they make a certain number of people really like you. People that like you will buy from you 100 times easier than someone who has never heard of you.

Think of this...

A good article is like a public relations expert out there promoting you 24 hours a day....

One of your reports on 1000 sites is like 1000 public relations experts out there telling people about you 24 hours a day....

That is how you make money on the Internet.

Affiliates

Affiliates

An affiliate program can make you a millionaire!

An affiliate program can make you $30,000 a month or more within 3 months of starting it.

An affiliate program is one of the few things in this world that can actually make you - get rich quick!

With the right product and a real direct response web site an affiliate program will multiply your advertising worldwide with little additional effort from you.

I may sound a little dramatic to you - if so I apologize, but I'm telling you the truth as it happened. This is exactly the way it went for me and a few others I know.

How successful an affiliate program becomes depends on the product and the advertising behind it. If you have a hot product and can write a solid direct response web site to sell it - there is no reason in the world you can't make your own fortune with an affiliate program.

I will tell you in this letter everything you need to know to have your own affiliate program up, running and duplicating your efforts in no time. It won't take but a few paragraphs to tell you what you need.

And contrary to what you may have heard or think, there is no magic secret to creating an affiliate program. You can go to a place like www.clickbank.com and have a simple program up and running in about 5 minutes. They even accept the credit cards.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Your first and most important concern is a host. My suggestion as of this writing would be Virtualis.com.

Here's why...

They can fix any problem you have.

They fix it fast.

They don't bitch while fixing it.

And most importantly...

They know what business people need. They are great to work with and like I mentioned before they have a team of people that can do any programming you need.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The next most important part is the script or service you intend to use to track your affiliates commissions.

Things are not the same as when I started my first affiliate program. Now you can have it all done for you automatically by people who run services like this: AffiliateTracking.com. Even the commission check payments can be done for you. With this service, if you have a product and a domain you're in business.

Or, if you want total control of your business you can use one of the script sources below....

www.replicator2000.com

www.groundbreak.com ** Recommended

These are two that I can personally recommend. The second one has great Ad Tracking capabilities. There are also more

scripts available here.

You can also get the Affiliate Master script Free when you join The Warrior Group

Features of the Affiliate Master script...

Will display your site via a cgi script, passing the users id throughout the website! This allows you to give all your resellers a website!

Can keep track of users direct sales and commissions! Either a flat amount per sale or a percentage of sale!

Users can view sales and commissions in real-time!

You can run a monthly payment run, with all data displayed on one webpage that can be printed!

Will automatically assign an id number by taking the first letter of the users first and last name and appending a number to the end of it!

Stores user data in a simple text file that is easily edited, to change or remove users!

Signup form will validate that all required fields have been entered!

Signup and order forms will send emails to the user, to the sponsor, and to you! You customize each!

Ability to have signup form separate from the order form! Script is compatible with all UNIX based servers!

However...

If you are like me and prefer not to depend on scripts to keep track of commissions, I will give you the best source in the world for any kind of tracking you need done.

The source I am about to reveal to you is incredibly valuable. Before two tier scripts became available I was offered $500 just to reveal the address you are about to get.

They can allow you to run any type of program you can imagine. Any type of MLM or Non-MLM structure can be tracked by their computers. The popular Two-Tier is extremely easy for them to track.

They have been providing these services long before you or I ever even heard of an Internet. They have also done the tracking for hundreds of successful companies and can provide references for you to call.

Note: Please do not approach this company with scams or ideas that are not yet proven to sell. They want to be fairly certain they are not wasting their time.

Their name is Dynamic Computing:

DYNAMIC COMPUTING

P.O. BOX 11

317 RIVERVIEW AV.

DREXEL HILL, PA 19026

http://www.dyncomp.com/

Don't be mislead by the very simple web site. They only have that up in case they are on the phone with someone that wants more details right then. Dynamic Computing relies almost totally on word of mouth advertising. They are that good and reliable.

All their tracking is done offline. They do nothing on the Internet whatsoever. You send them your new applications with both the sponsor's affiliate number and the new affiliates number on them and they take care of the rest.

There is no setup fee and they can begin tracking immediately. Your affiliates information is triple safe with backups on 3 computers in different states.

Even though I use offline tracking to make sure my affiliates never lose their commissions I still use scripts to provide Ad Tracking so affiliates can see how many hits their ads are pulling in as well as a manually updated sales stats page to show when a sale was made with an I-check, by phone or by postal mail.

If you need some modifications done to your script remember that there are thousands of CGI programmers out there looking for simple jobs like modifying scripts for others. Virtualis also can come to your aid on this subject as well. They have the source for programmers of all types.

Assuming you have a product and a web site that has proven its ability to sell the product, all you need is a host and a script or service to track commissions and you are ready to start your own affiliate program.

eBooks

Electronic Books!

There are two things you need to know about them.

#1. People love them!

#2. Once you release one, it can spread like a virus!

That's really all a good marketer needs to hear to understand their real marketing power on the Internet. A good, free eBook can be your best salesman 24 hours a day non-stop.

Plus, your best salesman will duplicate himself automatically as other web sites host it or link to it for their own visitors.

It's hard to ask for a more powerful marketing tool than that.

My eBook "Magic Letters" is already responsible for $1,000's a month in sales and its just been out a few months. A year from now I'll be drowning in sales from it alone.

The e-book can multiply upon itself without restriction and in all directions at once. I've said that in other reports and it doesn't hurt to repeat it here again. Once you understand how an eBook or free report takes advantage of the Internet you begin to see just how powerful they are.

***

The material for your eBook can come from your own writing or from works that are now in the public domain. 1000's of subjects are possible.

One of our Warrior members sold thousands of dollars worth of a manual called "Cocaine & Marijuana Smugglers Can Make You Rich". The manual was about buying and selling cars that the police had confiscated in drug raids. The thing about this manual was that it was all public information available free to anyone from the government.

You could do the same thing to compile a free eBook.

***

It is super easy to create an eBook with the software that is out now. The first 3 of these sources below create eBooks out of web pages. You simply build the site (book) to look the way you want it to and then click on compile. Out comes your eBook in an .exe file ready to run.

www.ebookedit.com just $64.95

www.webcompiler.com

www.bersoft.com

www.e-ditorial.com only $69.95

www.neosoftware.com

***

Want guaranteed widespread distribution?

Then...

Create eBooks that can be sold by others. Even allow people to start their own affiliate program with it.

Here's how....

First, in the eBook make it clear that anyone who bought it can also sell it. Free..no setup or distributor fees. Your goal is for the eBook to expand as fast as possible, tacking on fees will only slow it down.

Second, show them how to accept credit cards and get other sites to link to them using a place like www.clickbank.com.

Anyone can start their own affiliate program selling your eBook using www.clickbank.com.

In order for the eBook to be sold it needs to be valuable.

Make it something you yourself would be proud to sell and before long you will have 1000's of people selling it.

Why would you want to do this?

Because the eBook that people are selling introduces you to thousands of people. It also introduces them to your main product which the eBook should be promoting.

You see, the eBook should not only be a valuable product, it should also be a hard hitting sales letter for something you are selling.

You don't want to turn the entire eBook into a sales letter. Be creative and you will find many ways to make it known that they need your main product while at the same time giving them really powerful information they can use now.

If you don't like the idea of starting an affiliate program this is a way to avoid it and still have the same power of an affiliate program. You will have thousands of people selling an eBook that does a good job of convincing people that they need your main product.

So in the end, you still have a huge force of affiliates making you money without any of the hassles.

Search Engines

Three years ago I wrote a report called:

"How to Manipulate Search Engines and Get Hundreds

of Hits A Day In Less Than A Week!"

(actually I wouldn't call it a report, more like a note to the Warriors)

Let me tell you I got some heat off that one. The report deals with using gateway pages in search engines. The gateway pages exist only for the purpose of leading people to your main site - where you make sales.

I got letters from people who said that I should be ashamed for writing that report and that people would start spamming the search engines because of it.

Well, now I suppose I have my revenge. ;)

You see, here it is 3 years later and I have caught some of those same people who sent me those letters now selling a new software that they praise like fanatics as the greatest new marketing tool on earth.

What is this software?

WebPosition Gold! - a search engine ranking software product that is being hailed by all the big name news and magazine sites as the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Places like NewsWeek, WebDeveloper.com, CNET, PC Magazine and ZDNet have all gave it stars and reviews galore.

And what does this good old WebPosition do?

Why it creates "Gateway" or "Doorway Pages" for you by the dozens...as many as you want. These people where telling me how evil my report was on using gateway pages, and now here they are praising the virtues of WebPosition software which does exactly what I already said to do 3 years ago.

(to be fair to WebPosition I have to say that that is not all it does, it will do other things for you as well)

I suppose since all the major magazine and news sites was praising WebPosition they figured it was ok after all. :)

The Warriors who began using gateway pages back then now have sites with 1000's of hits a day every day. They did not wait for a big news site to approve anything for them.

This method still works today as good as when I first wrote about it 3 years ago. Now, with software like WebPosition it is even easier to do. Back then we had to create our pages and submit them to search engines manually. Now you can just let the software do it for you.

One of the easiest ways to get traffic to your site is to use the bundles of reports you can buy on the net. You simply take a number of these reports and create web pages that have a good chance of getting listed high and then you submit them to all the major search engines.

If you are a Warrior member you have a ton of reports you can use inside the site.

Warning: If you are mostly interested in marketing and making money you may have seen these bundled reports hundreds of times. That may lead you to think they are worthless and that everyone in the world has seen them and no one wants them.

That could not be further from the truth. Only people like you, those interested in money, have seen the reports many times. Not everyone else in the world. Millions of people love these reports and they also love when they stumble across them on the web. Insiderreports.com uses 90% of these same reports to get tons of web sites to link to them.

You won't hear them saying these reports have been seen by everyone - they know better.

If you still don't like the idea of using those reports - then use all the reports of the experts you like. Take all the reports that you are allowed to distribute freely and make a search engine ready page for each one. Your banners or links can go on top

or bottom of the page..or both.

Whatever you submit to the search engines, make it something useful. That's why I say it is better to use the reports because at least you are providing something. If everyone used the pages that Web Position creates as is the search engines really would be filled with garbage. Put something valuable on your pages.

If you have WebPosition software then use it to make the pages you create search engine ready. WebPosition can help you make the pages get listed higher. I think you can use just the demo for this purpose without even having to register it. If you don't register it you will still have to submit your pages to the search engines yourself. It's a little work but it's worth it.

This is incredibly easy. If you do it and test with different headlines and keywords, some of those pages you list will rank high in the search engines. Get 5 high ranking pages and you will get some hits. Get 10 listed and you will really get some hits....shoot for 25 to 100 listed and you can be making a small fortune.

Jeremy Martinez, a long time Warrior member, has made $1,000's of dollars a week for the last two years selling products that hundreds of other sites are trying to sell.

How is he making so much money with so much competition out there selling the same thing?

He does it with effective use of gateway pages...

A lot of gateway pages!

It makes no difference what search engine you look on Jeremy Martinez's sites come up on top and all over the first page. If someone does a search his type of product and they are ready to buy, they will end up buying the product from Jeremy.

(I'm sorry I can't mention the actual product he sells. I did in the first draft of this letter but I passed it by him before I released it and he freaked out:)

The thing I get a kick out of watching Jeremy is that he has so many different sites. You never know what site is his and what is not. He has so many different page styles and domain names that he uses that he totally dominates the market for this

product.

Here's another way to rank high. Search engines will favor your site over another if you have more links leading to it than your competition has leading to theirs. An easy way to get a ton of links leading to your site is to submit some of the gateway pages you create to 1000's of those FFA's pages.

Some people I know use a program called Submission Wizzard to submit gateway pages to hundreds of those sites at once.

That way, when the search engines crawl those FFA sites they will pick up all the links leading to your site and favor your site over others when you submit to them the next time.

You could have 2000 FFA or Classified sites linking back to your site. If your competition has less links to their site the search engines will list your site higher.

(That's all FFA sites are good for)

Here's another one. If you get the Web Position software you will see that it recommends buying more domain names or getting a host that will let you have all the subdomains you want.

The search engines will only accept so many submissions from one domain so you either need more or you need the ability to have subdomains.

A subdomain is like:

http://yourname.privatesites.com

I could take privatesites.com and list any subdomain I want in the search engines.

http://Profits.privatesites.com

http://Fred.privatesites.com

http://HeyClickHere.privatesites.com

http://ClickMeILoveIt.privatesites.com

To the search engine it looks different but it goes to the same place - your main site.

This is ok if you can afford more domain names. But some people can't. So for those of you a little strapped here's what you do....

There are many new free web hosts coming out that let you have your own subdomain name. You can use these free hosts to get your gateway pages listed in the search engines. Normal free web space sites don't get listed in the engines because they have far too many people submitting their domain name.

However, the sites that give you your own subdomain get by the search engines because every domain is different from the other. You could have as many of these sites as you want with a ton of different gateway pages all leading to your main site.

Get started now and you can get the hits you need to make money.

Note: It is a good idea to get the WebPosition software to see how to avoid getting penalized by the search engines. It tells you all the ways to list as many pages as possible without running into trouble.

"Some of the techniques you shared with us *months* ago are just now being promoted by others in their marketing manuals and newsletters as *new* techniques." Sincerely,

Bryan Kumar - ProDesk.com

Free Publicity

You can get free publicity on the net!

A lot of it!

If you like publicity, once it comes to you take it. The more you take the more you will begin to get as other media spot you. Nothing can cause of a flood of people rushing to you like an article of yours appearing in a magazine with 2,000,000 readers.

And it really is there...ready for the taking all over the net. There are thousands of editors out here as you read this looking hard for a good news story. Without them they don't have a business and with so much competition they are taking what they can get!

A Press Release?

Use them!

A press release at the right place at the right time can land a quick $100,000 in your bank account.

Tip: Approach Editor's Directly!

Send them your press release yourself.

It works! You will find many of these editor's are more willing to work with you than a lot of people think. Most people think of hiring a public relations firm to do a press release and get mentions in magazines. It's not always necessary to do that. Especially if you are on the Internet.

These editor's are human too. Just like us. They have a job. They have quota's to fill and stories to find. You can make their job easier by going directly to them.

Give it a try and you may find yourself getting responses like:

Hi Mark,

Thank you for the information. Your article has been accepted and will be included in our upcoming newsletter.

Sincerely,

David Smith

Editor in Chief

Do you know what your article in a newsletter that has 250,000 subscribers means?

It means you are going to get a quick flood of people to your site and that means money.

For just a couple minutes of your time sending the editor a note you could get 10,000 visitor's in one day. If you have only a 2% conversion and you are selling a $30 product, you would make $6000 in one day for two minutes or less of work.

Try This Source for Press Release information. It is a report written by Dr. Paul Hartunian. Use his advice on constructing your press release and you are almost guaranteed success.

In short, grab the publicity that is available to you everywhere on the Internet. Only 4 or 5 positive hits can make you an extra $150,000 this year It's happening all the time.

eZines

eZine advertising is for getting whatever strategy you are going to use to create links to your site off to great start.

If you have created a Free eBook - launch it by sponsoring an eZine with 100,000 readers.

It's ok if the eBook is free and you won't make any money up front. Because if you have done your job right, that one ad will get your eBook started multiplying across the Internet.

(Side tip on eBooks) - Have you seen those scripts on sites that if you like the site you can enter a few friends email addresses and recommend the site to them just by clicking the button? Well, that is a great way to make your eBook expand even faster. Possibly twice as fast. Put one of those pages in your eBook and anyone can refer it to a friend. Many will...

As long as what you are advertising will create multiple links back to your site - then all of your ads will end up profitable.

Also, most eZine sites archive each issue for years. Millions of people read those archived issues over the years. Your ad in these eZines will continue to work for you for a long time.

This is the idea behind creating something that multiplies on itself after you release it. Everything you do with it causes more links to be created to your site.

Let's say you advertise with a big email advertising company like Opt-inemail.com and spend $600 for them to send your ad out to their list...

They send it out and 800 people come to your site....

Only 15 of those bought your $30 product...that comes to $450. You didn't even break even. Which is what happens to most people.

Now...let's change this around a bit....

Let's say you advertise with Opt-inemail.com again except this time you aren't selling anything....you are giving away a Free eBook that will change people's lives if they read it...

Let's say that same 800 downloaded your eBook and loved it. Let's again say that the same 15 people bought your $30 product which the eBook also promoted.

Ok..this time you still came out with $450. But something else much more important happened. You planted a seed that will not stop growing. Some of those 800 people will give the eBook away on their own site. Some of them will add it to a package they are already selling and so on...

The eBook will continue to spread and that one $600 dollar advertisement with Businesslink could end up making you $6000 or more within few weeks.

Advertising one shot deals in an eZine is rarely profitable. You have to be really good at writing direct response ads to make money that way consistently.

So make your eZine ads multiply your efforts!

Hmmm, I read some of it and an eBook sounds good to me. However, I already get around 200+ visitors to my site per month. Look, I know this isn't much to you guys but for me it's perfect.

Perfect because I use my isp's free webspace and they would get ****ed if I suddenly got thousands of hits. And consider the fact that I am the only person that works on my site, I don't exactly have scores of free time, get my drift? lol.

It's mostly kids that visit my site anyway, so I guess I'm cool for now. Not looking to make any money anyway. You have nice Ideas though :)

    • Compared to the 7735HS it is around 25-30% slower in multi-threaded tasks (according to Google search) I did a review of the 7735HS Beelink SER6 Max in 2023, but thinking about it, it's not comparable to the 7730U. For the example you gave about how it will be used, the 7730U is actually an excellent choice for its power and battery efficiency.
    • Yes guys I know we have a memory and storage price gouging thanks to AI datacenters, so basically you are complaining when these crazy prices get discounts. It all starts to sound like the price of gas and a loaf of bread "was so much cheaper ten years ago!" Go wait until 2030 or whenever this BS ends and skip commenting then? This week's highlights include Apple's $4 billion class-action lawsuit, a smartphone with a 14,000 mAh battery, Google catching up with Anthropic, and the Steam Summer Sale 2026. Let's get started. You can check out the recent issues of the 7 Days weekly roundup. Windows 11 turns five Microsoft's Windows 11 operating system completed five years of existence on June 24 this week. According to the latest data, the controversial operating system now runs on almost 72% of Windows PCs worldwide. The launch of Windows 11 had several dramatic twists and an entire preview build leaked ahead of launch. Ford made a mistake Many would agree that one of the biggest mistakes the automobile industry made was surrendering to the giant touchscreens and removing physical buttons. However, Ford made even more. The company executives said they made a mistake by replacing human engineers with AI. Ford admitted that AI couldn't replace experienced engineers and the company is rehiring veterans to improve quality and cut recall costs. Starlink mobile service Elon Musk's SpaceX wants to use its massive constellation of satellites to power your phone's network. The company is reportedly considering building a terrestrial mobile network to complement Starlink’s satellite coverage and planning to sell mobile phone plans directly to customers in the US as part of a wider expansion of Starlink. It addressed problems with localization, playback issues with certain MP4 files, and performance issues on websites that perform multiple encryption operations simultaneously. Ubuntu Livepatch: Canonical's zero-downtime service Livepatch arrived on Arm64 devices running Ubuntu Core 26 and Ubuntu 26.04 LTS. Livepatch allows users to apply important kernel updates without any service interruption or rebooting. AMD 26.6.2 driver: The new driver version for Radeon hardware owners brought FSR 4.1 upscaling tech to an entire generation of its products: the RX 7000 series. However, the 26.6.2 FSR driver flew dark clouds over users, breaking many Windows PCs and causing a yellow bang or other launch failures on Windows 10. AMD later pushed the 26.6.3 Hotfix update to fix the issues. Goodbye Notion email: It's been a little over a year since the AI-powered email client launched. The company has announced its shutdown, which will take effect on September 22, and said it doesn't see the point in maintaining a frontend email client when people are moving towards automation. Ventoy version 1.1.14: The biggest change in the Rufus alternative is an updated Secure Boot shim file to resolve the UEFI CA 2023 issue, a compatibility problem that affected Secure Boot environments on some systems. This week in hardware news Image: Valve Catch up on some of the latest software news updates that arrived throughout the week: 14,000 mAh battery: Yes, that's something that iPhone users can only dream of. But a Chinese company is reportedly developing a smartphone with a 14,000mAh battery. If it ever sees daylight, it would be the largest battery ever on a smartphone, possibly offering a week of backup on a single charge. Steam Machine prices: Valve finally confirmed the Steam Machine's pricing. Starting at $1,049 for the 512GB option, storage and the included controller are the biggest differences among the four variants presented. Xbox just got more expensive: Rising costs of storage and memory prompted Microsoft to raise prices. Xbox Series X|S models wth 512GB storage will cost $100 extra, and 1TB models will cost $150 extra. However, the Redmond giant discounted the 2TB models. New NVIDIA supercomputers: The company announced plans to deploy 35 high-performance (HPC) AI supercomputers across Europe this year, primarily at national supercomputer centers, AI factories, and research institutes. Fast fast memory: Samsung built the UFS 5.0 storage solution, which pushes the data transfer speeds to 10.8 GB/s on mobile devices. It can open doors for faster local AI performance, which otherwise doesn't look promising under the current scenario. Custom chips for TikTok: Qualcomm is reportedly in talks with ByteDance to build custom video chips optimized for its massive data center workloads. ByteDance needs hardware that can help it ingest, process, and serve billions of short-form videos daily. OpenAI Jalapeño: The AI giant announced its first custom-designed AI chip developed in partnership with Broadcom. Jalapeño is designed specifically for large language model inference and is the first product from a multi-generation compute platform being developed by OpenAI. Galaxy A27 5G: The new mid-range smartphone from Samsung arrived with a platter of updates over A25 5G, including a 120Hz refresh rate, Infinity-O punch-hole camera design, expanded AI features, and more. Qualcomm takes on NVIDIA: The chipmaker baked the new Dragonfly CPU, High Bandwidth Compute technology, and AI chips to challenge NVIDIA in the AI data center market. Qualcomm said its new lineup improved per-watt performance, token throughput, and total cost of ownership for AI data centers. IBM goes sub-1nm: The company reached a semiconductor milestone by announcing the world's first sub-1-nanometer chip technology, based on a 0.7nm (7-angstrom) node. It can pack nearly 100 billion transistors onto a chip the size of a fingernail. This week in Google News Image: Google Catch up on some of the latest Google news updates that arrived throughout the week: What to expect from the Pixel 11 series: The upcoming lineup is expected to feature four different variants and a price hike due to the global memory shortage. Read our detailed coverage to know about the expected Pixel 11 specs. Stopping Google: The Free Software Foundation Europe urged the European Commission to stop Google from silently reinstalling AI models and requiring registration. Users should be able to fully uninstall AI-based features from Android devices and access interoperability features. Chasing Anthropic: The Claude-maker is making new strides every day in the AI world, but the search giant is struggling to catch up. Google is said to be reshuffling its AI coding "strike team" it created roughly about two months ago, turning it into a broader model-training group amid talent losses at DeepMind. New Google Play billing: Google has faced a long legal battle with Epic Games, and the search giant is rolling out a redesigned Play Store billing and fee structure. Available in the US, UK, and the European Economic Area, it will take effect on June 30. Error-free Sheets? A new feature in Google Sheets allows Gemini to inspect formula errors and apply corrections directly in the spreadsheet. Google said the new feature can handle pretty much everything from basic arithmetic to very complex calculations. Breeze through airports: Google Wallet became the first digital wallet to integrate with TSA PreCheck Touchless ID, a program that enables travelers to move through airport security checkpoints using facial recognition instead of a physical ID or boarding pass. Built-in computer control: Gemini 3.5 Flash got a built-in tool called Computer Use, which allows developers to build agents that navigate browsers, mobile interfaces, and desktop applications. Google Finance: The redesigned platform is now out of beta. Google has added several new features, including portfolio tracking, scheduled market briefings, and a dedicated Android app. An iOS app is planned for later in 2026. This week in Apple News Image: Apple Catch up on some of the latest Apple news updates that arrived throughout the week: Trade secrets reportedly exposed: Apple's manufacturing partner in India, Tata Electronics, confirmed a cybersecurity attack on its systems that may have exposed trade secrets of Apple and Tesla. Hackers reportedly stole up to 630 GB of data and posted up to 200,000 files on the dark web. Grab your payout: Apple is facing a class-action lawsuit in the UK and might end up paying $4 billion (£3 billion) if it loses. The iPhone-maker has been accused of trapping users in iCloud by restricting rivals from fully accessing iOS. The tribunal recently set a full trial date for October 2028. iOS 27 Beta 2: Apple's latest iPhone update is moving forward, and a new beta was pushed this week. While iOS 27 Beta 2 for developers pushed several bug fixes across the system, the AirPort Utility was deprecated; it's no longer available to new users. Price hike: Just like others, Apple has raised prices of several MacBook and iPad models, including the MacBook Neo, which now starts at $699. This comes after reports that this year's iPhone will also become expensive. Second-gen iPhone Fold: While the world is desperate to see Apple's foldable iPhone, leakers have started to talk about its second generation. Apple is expected to launch a successor in Fall 2027, featuring a wider folding display while reusing the same screen found in the first generation. The search for memory: Apple is reportedly looking at blacklisted Chinese companies amid rising memory chip prices. The company is seeking clearance from the Trump administration to purchase memory from ChangXin Memory Technologies (CXMT). This week in Meta news Image: Meta Catch up on some of the latest Meta, WhatsApp, and Instagram updates that arrived throughout the week: WhatsApp gets a new final boss: Mark Zuckerberg announced that CRED's Kunal Shah will become the next global head of WhatsApp, as Will Cathcart steps down and moves to a new role at Meta. The social media giant invested money in CRED through a Series H funding round. AI glasses in 26 styles: A new line of Meta Glasses launched in partnership with EssilorLuxottica. Starting at $299, it comes in more than two dozen styles across different colors, lenses, and frames. More ways to doomscroll: Instagram for TV is now available on Samsung smart TVs launched in 2020 and later years. The company also announced that it's testing several new features on Instagram for TV, bringing it closer to YouTube and Netflix. This week in AI news Image: Microsoft Catch up on the latest artificial intelligence news updates that arrived throughout the week: Water-saving data center: Microsoft is building a gas-powered AI data center with a capacity of 2 gigawatts. The company will deploy a closed-loop cooling system, saying that its total lifecycle water use will be "only a fraction of that consumed annually by a typical fast-food restaurant.” OpenAI beats Claude Mythos: GPT-5.5-Cyber got a limited release for verified defenders. It scored 85.6% on CyberGym, compared with 81.8% for GPT-5.5 and 83.8% for Claude Mythos 5. The AI giant also announced a limited preview of its new GPT-5.6 model series, whose flagship model, GPT-5.6 Sol, is targeted at demanding reasoning and agentic workloads. Proceed with caution: The Trump administration instructed OpenAI to limit the distribution of GPT-5.6 to a small group of government-approved partners rather than the general public, as has happened in the past. Claude Tag: Anthropic launched its new AI teammate for Slack, enabling teams to delegate tasks to Claude directly within Slack channels. What makes it different is that it's designed to operate as a shared assistant for an entire team rather than a single user. Challenging US dominance: The UK government has funded £60 million ($70 million) to Oxford and UCL to keep the country in the AI race by building open-source, low-hardware alternatives. The two organizations will share the money over six years. Paying for AI development: One cost is the loss of human jobs. Oracle laid off about 21,000 employees (13% of its workforce) amid increasing AI adoption. The software giant said that AI advancement and adoption "may continue to result in reductions to our workforce." GitHub strips features: It removed the ability to manually detect an AI model from its Copilot Free and Student plans. In other words, its automatic routing system is the only way to choose a model. Are you a copycat? Anthropic accused Alibaba of creating about 25,000 fraudulent accounts to copy Claude's capabilities at scale. It told US lawmakers that operators linked to Alibaba generated 28.8 million exchanges with Claude between April 22 and June 5, 2026. Reserve my memory: The semiconductor company Micron revealed that AI companies are spending billions to lock up its memory years in advance. Its customers have locked in $22 billion worth of memory supply commitments. Another AI battle: A publisher group that collectively owns 400 newspapers sued OpenAI and Microsoft for scraping their content to build AI chatbots such as ChatGPT and Copilot without compensation. Anthropic AI ban: The US government partially reversed the Anthropic AI ban, allowing it to restore Claude Mythos 5. However, it can only be deployed for a limited set of US organizations that operate and defend critical infrastructure. This week in Microsoft News In some of the hottest stories of the week: Windows 10 quietly gained a year of support and updates, Windows 11 KB5095093 released with a long list of features, and Windows 11 26H2 is finally getting the ability to disable web search results in Windows 11 Search. You can check out Taras's freshly baked Microsoft Weekly roundup to catch up on all the interesting stories this week. This week in science news Image by Pascal Küffer via Pexels Catch up on some of the latest science and out-of-this-world updates that arrived throughout the week: 13 billion-year-old secret: Scientists found that the universe's first molecule (helium hyride) reacted with hydrogen much faster in cold temperatures than previously believed. It's a new breakthrough that changes our understanding of early star formation. Cosmic Living Fossil: Astronomers found CR3, a surprisingly pristine 11.5-billion-year-old galaxy dubbed a "living fossil." It suggests the universe's first generation of stars formed much later than previously assumed. Einstein's 100-year-old theory: Thanks to relativity, researchers calculated that clocks on Mars tick 477 microseconds faster per day than on Earth. This minute gravitational difference is crucial for synchronizing future interplanetary space missions. Don't panic: NASA's James Webb Telescope finally eliminated the threat of asteroid 2024 YR4 striking the moon in 2032. The rocky giant will give us a safe fly-by without causing any harm. This week in gaming? The latest issue of Pulasthi's Weekend PC Game Deals curates several exciting games on sale this week. RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Complete Edition and Voidwrought have replaced the old titles in this week's Epic Games Store giveaway. For Xbox Free Play Days, the new titles include House Flipper 2, Blades of Fire, and Assetto Corsa Competizione. Steam Summer Sale 2026 kicked off with discounts for everything from the newest games and retro gems to all sorts of DLC packs, until July 9. Meanwhile, NVIDIA GeForce NOW added support for several new titles, including Dark Scrolls, SAND: Raiders of Sophie, and EMPULSE. That said, here are some more stories from the gaming world: Age of Empires Mobile comes to PC, here's how to carry over progress from your phone Xbox Insiders get Xbox 360 achievements and Gamertag character upgrades Grand Theft Auto VI pricing revealed alongside Ultimate Edition and pre-loading details Sony announces Bungie layoffs that will affect "significant number of employees" From the review corner This week, Steven published a review of the TerraMaster F4-425 Pro AI-powered NAS, featuring an all-metal exterior on the lines of the four-bay F4-425 series. Powered by the octa-core Intel Core N350, the TerraMaster F4-425 Pro is highly energy-efficient, operates quietly, and offers three M.2 slots. On the flip side, OpenClaw support requires removing security hardening (SPC), AI requires a paid subscription, the software feels like a beta, and the rubber feet constantly come unstuck. ZimaBoard 2 1664 Starter Kit Another NAS setup reviewed this week is the ZimaBoard 2 by IceWhale Technology. It comes in a small footprint with great modern hardware through a combo of Intel N150 and DDR5 memory support. On the downside, the memory is not upgradeable, ZimaOS is a bit barebones, factory reset requires USB flashing, and there is no automatic backup via the mobile app. Synology's BeeCamera software Christopher wrote his review of the software that powers BeeCamera Plus and said "the BeeCamera app is a great way to add private home monitoring to your network but there are some limitations." It's free with an easy setup process, fast response time, and good AI and detection features. However, there is no desktop version; it only works with Synology cameras, some configurations are difficult to set up on a phone, and it lacks the features of the surveillance station.
