drivers for audigy 2 NX

Recommended Posts

Ok, I've just reformatted my computer and I'm trying to install my Audigy 2 NX. However, I can't find my installation cd, and none of the updates on the Creative website will work unless I've first installed the drivers off the cd. Anyone have any suggestions? Anyone know how I can get the drivers from the cd? Any other options besides using the Creative drivers? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

If you running Win2K or XP?

http://rapidshare.de/files-en/268189/Sound...rivers.exe.html

This is a self extracting file about 9MB

It's the core drivers not the full cd.

Just click on 'CTZAPXX.exe' to start the Creative Device Driver Installation Program.

That's it.

ManroWeb: Thanks for the cd :)

Btw, before i found this cd i realized that you dont really need it.

You can just go to creative site, choose drivers - autoupdate (IE only) - get the main drivers to get you card working.

AND you can still change settings without all the extra software by running

C:\Program Files\Creative\SBAudigy2\Program\WDM\COMMON\CtPanel.exe

this can set EAX and speaker settings ;)

Yes i am aware of this. Using the CD install adds everything into control panel, and gives you all the audigy/audigy 2 apps

I just registered on this site to say thank you. I lost my CD about 4 months ago, and my Audigy has just been collecting dust. It's installing now!

PS: The rar file I downloaded had a CRC error... not sure if it was just my connection. Anyways WinRAR repair fixed it...

Someone else had a problem with corruption. It was only a sample wav file which was corrupt. I may re compress and upload again. But many people have successfully used this without any problem

As someone from Neowin reported to Creative that i was hosting this file, i was forced to remove it under copyright laws

I cannot re host it.

If you want it then i suggest contacting creative for replacement cd, or alternative search

Contact me via pm for further query

I'm currently uploading it to ActuaryTM. it will be there in about 4 hours, so anyone needing it better hurry and pick it up before that guy contact's Creative again.

I find it ridiculous that someone would report this, especially since its not like we have stolen hardware, we just have a ****** up disc. why should i ask creative for one and have to pay a fee?

That's ridicolous, they have TERRIBLE support, so screw them.

This file is not 172mb however, this is the full iso, with no CRC errors.

the filesize is 549.14mb

Uploaded....ATM should be posting soon....

I forgot who gave this to me but it was from someone in neowin, possibly bang bang? not sure, can't remember, but it's the same retail one as the green disc you get with the audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro

Enjoy when he gives out the info! (if anyone even needs it to begin with besides him, heh)

Many many thanks, Meshuggah.

Beginning the download now. Will likely compress the disc image (if possible), and upload the result.

If anyone is interested in obtaining information on how to receive the data being spoken of, feel free to contact me for the login creditentials.

Initial download successful, and checked against Meshuggah's original.

Compressed the image (from 550MB to 400MB), and am uploading the result. Will be a .RAR archive consisting of 9 volumes, and a file verification file.

For those of you who have already sent messages, I will PM the login credentials once the upload is complete.

Many thanks again, Meshuggah.

    • Not even an OLED display on the laptops. Also it seems that the laptop design isn't the same as the Surface Ultra model. Looks like bargain bin at high prices.

    • VirtualBox 7.2.10 by Razvan Serea VirtualBox is a powerful x86 and AMD64/Intel64 virtualization product for enterprise as well as home use. Targeted at server, desktop and embedded use, it is now the only professional-quality virtualization solution that is also Open Source Software. Presently, VirtualBox runs on Windows, Linux, macOS, and Solaris hosts and supports a large number of guest operating systems including but not limited to Windows (NT 4.0, 2000, XP, Server 2003, Vista, 7, 8, Windows 10 and Windows 11), DOS/Windows 3.x, Linux (2.4, 2.6, 3.x, 4.x, 5.x and 6.x), Solaris and OpenSolaris, OS/2, OpenBSD, NetBSD and FreeBSD. Some of the features of VirtualBox are: Modularity. VirtualBox has an extremely modular design with well-defined internal programming interfaces and a client/server design. This makes it easy to control it from several interfaces at once: for example, you can start a virtual machine in a typical virtual machine GUI and then control that machine from the command line, or possibly remotely. VirtualBox also comes with a full Software Development Kit: even though it is Open Source Software, you don't have to hack the source to write a new interface for VirtualBox. Virtual machine descriptions in XML. The configuration settings of virtual machines are stored entirely in XML and are independent of the local machines. Virtual machine definitions can therefore easily be ported to other computers. • OK, now ask yourself how are they going to enforce that law? By requiring every single adult to prove their age and provide their legal identity documents to an UNREGULATED 3rd party company that already has a long track record of multiple data breaches. Not to mention, parliament have voted AGAINST this ban, twice, and Starmer is going ahead anyway. So, where's the democracy here, because that looks like dictatorship to me. The solution here is parental responsibility, not government control. Run some public service announcements on TV and UK social media teaching parents how to setup parental controls. That's already been proven to actually work. But the, this is not and has NEVER been about keeping kids safe. It's about control and monitoring. Watching what you're doing online and controlling what you can see and what you can say.
    • Interesting read. I knew the adware was quite controversial at the time, however never realised to the point The Guardian wrote an article about Patchou. I just said no and enjoyed his creation, I’d probably be a lot more wary of something like that today though.
