clocked it at 13 hours gameplay, died about 25 times. Fantastic game from start to finish. Ending rocks, totally caught me by surprise aswell. Not gonna go into full detail but the GMAN is baaaack... and if and when your time comes again, he will make a decision for you.

HALF LIFE 3 - ETA: When it's done!!

so they kinda copied halo 2 did they, is it like a cliffhanger, oh and what happends?

Cant really copy a game thats released around the same time... company spies emailing game info from bungiee to Valve

games can take years to make, so by the time halo 2 was out Valve changed the ending of half life 2 in less than a week ;) yea right

ah well I just finished the game on all 3 difficulties to see if the ending changes, and it doesn't. A little disapointed but leaves it open for 3. But man I was expecting a little more, like all the hints at time travel and what not. A better ending, more of what I was expecting would have been for the gman to stop what he does and enlighten us on the future (where he is from guiding freeman) and how this is going to show humans the way to time travel. Then going back and stoping alyx from going upstairs, would have been great. I was hoping to see that as the end, but guess I'll wait till 3.

yeah.. i found the plot to be very lacking, considering the hype around it i never really noticed much until the last 2/3 levels.

Yup. I have! What did you think of the ending? :/

*SPOILER*

I loved the slow motion blow out... and again G-Man as if from no where!

Damn... Didn't take as long as I thought it would... but those Striders are hard too kill

Yeah, I just finished it. 12 hours for a very experienced gamer - well worth it! The ending was a great and I found I really did care for Alyx. The pose is just so perfect! :D

The storyline is great, but it's doesn't exactly pan out like most do because everything must be told from Gordon's perspective and from where Gordon is. Go at it with an open mind and see if you're still disappointed. ;)

I just finished the game. Boy, I really wish they told us who the G-man really was. Who really knows maybe he's god. He certainly seems to be omniscient

I foundthat I also cared about Alyx especially when she went up on the roof too see if there was any other place to go. I screamed No and felt bad that i could not shoot the idiots on the roof

yea i finished it just now as well.... to tell the truth i absolutely loved the story. it kept me hooked, and kept my bloodpressure up the entire time :D. Around 12 hours here... 8 yesterday when it was released, and 4 today when i got home from work. What's takin HL3 so long.... jeez! :D

finished it in 12 hrs on hard - and was that worth ?35? nope. no multiplayer and the worst ending ive ever seen after 6 years of their work, do they expect us to wait 6 years for an ending worth its salt? half life 1 was the best game ever, but a lot of people forget that the last few levels were awful and the ending was dreadful. half life 2 could have been so much more, yet they chose to end it on another terrible note. it might have worked in a book, but it doesnt work in a game which is already a sequel.

    • It's expensive, but I bet it will still sell out just like the Steam Deck and the Steam Controller
    • This is listed as a preview in WU for me. I usually don't grab them as previews; what's your opinion on it so far?
