i don't know how you guys feel using the keyboard while playing this kind of racing game... i use logitech dual action keypad and it works great... kindda like PS2 controller... u should get it it's not expensive... it's got 12 buttons and 2 analog and directional pad... all you need... no need to touch the keyboard... and driving is a breeze... plus hydraulics is really easy...

ya... it's not hidden it's just not shown on the map... i still haven't completed some stuff from stage 1 and i'm already at stage 4... crazy...

alright... gotta go find those "hidden" races of bayview

ONE TIP: for using hydraulics... it won't work when ur moving fast... try stopping first and then use hydraulics... and then move slowly... once you go fast... it goes back to normal...

Can't stand using game controllers you wanna use a game controller go by a console I'd rather rest my hands on a nice keyboard than hold up a game pad and try not to make my car hit the wall because the ergonomics of a game pad don't work well for racing games run and gun games sure, but not racing games wheels are even poor for me a keyboard will do and hey keyboards can have up to 100 buttons even more and it's got a multi directional pad as well called the arrow keys sure it doesn't have that NE NW SE SW position, but that not a big deal.

By the way whenever one of those guys calls you up saying some punk with more cash than brains has put a race up that's what these are.

really...? are those the ones that's shown in the world map... you know before you continue your career in the garage... in the menu, there's "world map" and then it shows you the completed and the not completed races... are they the same? 'coz if they're the same then i'm not gonna bother looking for them coz i can just race them from the world map...

I think the races that do not show up on the map are probably the ones you get told about by your "homies" over the car phone. You know how it goes...

Breeeeeeep! "Yo yo YO! Wassup money? I heard about some racing going on down by the [insert random map location]. Should be some easy pickings, some new racers with more bank than brains. I haven't been able to pinpoint the location but you should be able to find. Check ya later!"

[ timko ] nice sig ;)

like someone pointed out, you don't necessary have to complete those races. the easier way is to just forget about them and go back to them later via world map. okay, one thing, when you do it via world map, when you win, you don't get rep points or $$'s. BUT, there is a way around that. all you have to do is restart the race after it starts. i have always done it after i crossed the line right in the beginning, don't really know it's necessary, but not about to waste a race to find out. haha. have fun. i am still playing stage 4... man this game gets near impossible sometimes!

you beat me to it...

exactly what i was gonna say... as soon as the race starts restart the race and you'll get rep points... i just got into stage 5 after finishing all the races i missed from the world map...

    • Bluesky COO warns social media regulations could destroy competition from small startups by Paul Hill Fears that increasing government control of social media risks regulatory capture by the biggest social media firms were raised again recently. Bluesky’s chief operating officer said in an interview that social media bans for children and tighter regulations for social media firms risk creating a world where there are only a few social media platforms run by companies with the deepest pockets. Regulations on social media firms have been very lax since they appeared for mainstream users in the 2000’s. This gave Meta, Snapchat, and Google time to build up their user bases and get entrenched, with Meta being the most successful. Now that Meta has succeeded, it has been attempting regulatory capture. By pushing for more regulations of social media, Meta hopes to make it more difficult for rivals to challenge it. For its part, it doesn’t need to worry about the cost of regulation because it has a lot of money to spend, whereas startups do not. Speaking to CNBC, Rose Wang, Bluesky’s chief operating officer, said: “I support the protection and the safety of youth, the question that we have then is at what cost, because essentially what I’m scared of is in the long term, we’re headed to a world where there’s about three to five platforms, and extreme heavy regulation of those platforms, and basically the whole compliance teams of these platforms are 10 times the size of our entire team. So, basically, we’re living in a world where it’s almost impossible for smaller entrants to come in and build healthier spaces. These platforms have led to a place where the bottom line is the thing that drives what they do... so I understand why governments have to step in and regulate, because the platforms have done nothing right.” She said that while she is not against regulation, there needs to be more channels between the small to mid-sized players and regulators to help protect them. She says that big tech players, on the other hand, “who we know are circumventing regulation,” need to be regulated. Essentially, the Bluesky position is one of nuance, rather than absolutes. While Bluesky’s proposal may preserve competition in the social media space, it still doesn’t address the massive privacy implications these age verification measures introduce, such as handing over sensitive identity documents to access age-gated content.
