doesn't work with the H300+ series..

so i'm just using WMP10 to sync my music..

anyone else using a diff. program? i find WMP to be really slow.. so far i've transfered 716 songs out of 2063 before the battery died. (charging now)

VERY IMPORTANT TO LEAVE THE POWER CHORD IN WHEN TRANSFERRING!

If you lose power when there is HDD activity, or if you terminate the connection with your PC in anyway you could well fry your directory structure = bye bye music.

Don't forget, fully depleting any Li-Ion/Li-Poly battery is harmful to it, so make sure you charge regularly.

Are you sure about the battery thing? Cuz I'm hearing different stories from every angle. I charge it usually at half way.

Its true.

They don't have memories, so recharge them more often. Full depletion is harmful. Shallow charges are best.

"file" "artist" "genre" and something else.. well thats gone now. it takes me straight to the album folders.

but all my music is there.

This isn't an advert, but some trusty advice - http://www.misticriver.net ship them worldwide and check out the gallery to decide which one you like the most :)

NONE! So all of you can kiss my @$$ :D

Thanks for your useful input

don't bother. a big difference between the ipod and iriver, is that the ipod is never actually off. the iriver completely turns off. therefore, the ipod only has a 30-60sec boot time when it's turned on from being completely off (which is rare). however, the iriver needs to load that db (30-60sec) every time you turn it on.

i'll second that. i got my carbon one from them and it was delivered in super quick time and very nicely priced (Y)

eh.. i did the DB Scan thing twice and it still goes to the file free.

edit.. read the manual.. i think i have to run that DB thing that i installed from the cd.

Yes you need to load your songs onto the player, right click on the drive visible in My Computer and click on "Update DB" to make DB scan work.

Depends on how many songs you have on your player. I have about 400 and it takes a 5 second boot time.
