By smooth I meant the quality :p It's speckled, if you know what I mean :p

Yeah, speckled, dithered, noisy ( as they call it ) shall be removed in a little while.

neatofx - no problemo!

Well done but i don't like the message its sending out. Firefox is not about destroying explorer, It's about taking back the web. Making it a better experience for all en promoting free and open software. In the real world it's firefox that is in de middle of the circel bravly opposing explorer's dominace.

Don't take it the wrong way. keep up the work ;)

Nah its cool, your right though!.. this is one of a few I will be doing.. so ill take in mind what you said!

I would like to see the internet explorer's surrounding a firefoxer.

Maybe I shall do one - but I fear getting the hardcore firefox fans brick my windows..

By the way, how do i change my first post?

Hit the p_edit.gif button :p

Thats sweet.  Should be a second one that shows the after math of that situation.  Like the little IE guy with his eyes X'd out and the firefox dudes turned around and leaving.  :D

Yeah man that?s what I was thinking to do next.. now you suggested it I?ve thought of another idea..

What about it being based in the olden times.. And they have the IE guy being hanged and with a crowd of firefoxe's standing aro:Dd :D !?

I like it alot!

The only thing really lacking however is the quality... it would be nice to have more of a gloss effect (Yes I am a gloss freak)

And maybe some more colours (colors)

I love the theory too though.

Maybe try like a split screan - One side a certain shade of colour (color lol) and the other side the same colour but different shade... and have the fox on one side looking madly >> at the IE Icon on the other side. << please try this I think it would be awesome!!

Don't do any mutilated ones. It'll turn it into a flame zone.

Maybe to even it out, you should do an IE version also, and an opera one. How about Windows V Mac V Linux also.

I really like the style of the clean version. the grainy version isn't so good.

How about just one man on his own in the centre. Camera facing him, on a level plain. Sort of a super hero stance. That would look quite cool.

Good work, just don't feed the trolls.

I second that. Superhero Firefox vs IE... maybe two of the guys (one each) arm oustretched with a fist, flying towards each other with capes and whatnot.

    • I'd say the first one failed to be as popular as Apple anticipated, but the easy adjustment here is to make fewer of them next time around. It would only be a "flop" if it isn't possible for Apple to recover the design and factory tooling costs given the number of units sold, which I doubt would be the case. It isn't like no one bought them; it just failed to become the new hot phone of the year.
    • You're right that it does not follow the plain meaning of the word, but in this context, it is a legal term defined in 49 U.S.C. Kind of how "wire fraud" laws apply even if a physical wire was not used. Given that it is codified in law, and it isn't just automotive journalists that don't understand evolving technology, I highly doubt congress would change a well understood term just because technology makes the term slightly less actuate.
    • This is exactly why I keep saying we are not ready for human free self-driving. These little "bugs" are may seem like random one-offs. There was also the Waymo that drove between police with drawn weapons and the suspect they were pointing them at. From a software perspective it is easy to understand how those extremely rare situations may not have been programed for, but that is the point. If AI needs to be told to watch out for every possible contingency, then it can never be successful. There will always be the possibility of a first encounter that the AI needs to understand to avoid.
