If you dont have the car, ignore it. It happened to me too cause I took to long getting to the lot, but nothing bad happend because of it.

yah, apparently there are odd glitches in the game. i have encountered two different maps where i would RUN right thru the barriers and go off the map. and i wouldn't be able to get back onto the track... lol, quite frustrating.
