[HELP] Superdrive won't eject DVD-R!?

Recommended Posts

I just tried burning a data DVD using Toast 6 and a Maxell DVD-R, but got a buffer underrun error. I tried to eject, but OSX isn't seeing a disc in the drive or something, because it won't eject. I have a powerbook, so the superdrive is slot-loading.

Any help here? I logged out and back in and I still can't eject it.

Either hold down the mouse button when starting up, or try holding the command, o, and f keys whilestarting up. Once you are presented with the open firmware screen, type "eject cd" without the quotes. That should eject the CD. You can then type mac-boot and it will continue to boot.
