Problem with server audio.

Hi all, i have a strange probelm.

My audio device reproduce only one sound at time.

For example while i'm listening an mp3 and chatting with gaim, i ear only mp3 sound.

When i close xmms i ear all the send/received messages of gaim that i didnt' eared during mp3 reproducing.

I tried with Mandrake 10, and now i have Fedora Core 3 and the problem is on both.

My audio device is an AC97 integrated. (Mb: Asus P4C800 Deluxe)

Anyone can explain me how to resolve this problem?
