Ethernet Router

Got an ehternet router, made by d-link, but lost the installation CD..

the current computer i am on, well the old one at home, works fine to the network

however i got a new one, and have no drivers for it - do you actually need drivers for an ethernet connection??

would they be on a windows installation cd?

IF not, is there anywhere i can get them??

the problem is i can plug the ethernet in, and i cannot connect to the network/internet, and it determins a 400mbs connection, the old computer reconises it as an 10..

help please.

You don't require any drivers for a router. If you are having problems with the password, there should be a reset button somewhere on the router. Setup for these is always web-based.

the stanard is 192.168.0.1 yea??

if so, i tryed that and it came up with the page cannot be displayed, thing...

sure i dont need anysoftware for the computer to work>> i know i set up D-link air stuff for the laptops

Not necessarily ... it depends on the manufacturer. Linksys are 192.168.1.1, Netgear 192.168.0.1 etc.

D-Link default is 192.168.1.1

but of course you may have changed this
