Hoi Hoi bud great system

Coolmonk's suggestion of the Asus board is a smart option though. it may be a bit more epxensive but as far as RAID options are concerend it's a better way to go.

Also the Keyboard/mouse combo you chose using retail prices might be cheaper and better for gaming and artisty stuff a LX700 with purchaseing a new logitech MX1000 mouse might be another possibilty.

The MX bluetooth combo is great if you are going to use the reciever as base station for all other Bluetooth devices cause logitech seem to be always upto date with the Broadcomm drivers and stuff.

Other than that though Great system but.....

INTEL RULES FOREVER :p

pc parts can be cheap in australia, but due to the gst it will always be abit more expensive than in overseas like US, Taiwan

u just need to know the right place to get em from ;)

def not retailer or computer shops < they rip u off big time

might wana look around computer factories up Silverwater :)

man, $4700 aus dollars sounds a bit steep. where you buying from?

//edit: oh wait, i just priced something similar on pluscorp.com.au, and it came out to about $4300. how much is your 9800gt? man, $1700 for the mobo and cpu alone?

well accually i'm only 12, my brother got like a 5k-6k one like last year and its my turn now, but it will have to last for 2-3years. I'm trying to keep the system under 5k. about the mb, i was thinking about the asus one, but i think the neo one is better, what do you think? The reason why i didn't get like 8.1 speakers or 7.1 is that i don't want to spend like 2k on speakers. a pair of qualitity 5.1 ones, were like $700-800. mind you, thats why i bought the cheap but ok/good ones. i can always upgrade those later, since my sound card is teh good.

edit, most of the prices i stole from pc powerplay's, beast section (the best of teh best comp) and i'm getting the parts from my mums/step dads, friend's shop.

edit 2, here is a excel doc with the specs and cost per item,

http://www.shadow-fusion.com/New computer Specs.xls

. btw check out my site, tho its currently in re-dev progress, tho u can get a free nds('s).

edit3, fixed linky

edit4, just copy 'n past to ur broswer

Both the MSI and ASUS are nice boards, but the ASUS does run the processor at a slightly faster stock speed of something like 2.606GHz (I forgot where I read this).

I don't know about you...I just like to trust the guys over at Maximum PC Magazine and go with what they say is best (and they say the ASUS A8V Deluxe is best).

W.T.F.?

Go ahead and get that system. In fact, get a 6800 Ultra Extreme. Actually wait a few weeks until the SLI motherboards are out and put two 6800 Ultra PCIe's in. Oh and you might wanna get an extra 1GB RAM just in case. A few more HDDs as well. 12 year olds can't have enough HDDs...
