FILM: The Contract - Double Cross (Revenge)

Recommended Posts

I posted the film link for the first "Contract" film last year on Neowin.

My friends and I have finally finished the 2nd installment of the Contract series films. It took almost 8months to complete filming, and two tapes of footage.

We're currently in post-production at the moment. About 60% complete; we still have to

do special fx, dialogue, sound effects, and music. In total, the film will be a year in the making.

The film's running time, is currently longer than the first one. Keep in mind this is a University student film, and tends to lean towards the artistic side of filmmaking (we try to move away as much as possible from the linear side of filmmaking). Also, all equipment was supplied by the students themselves (incl. editing). So do not expect a Hollywood blockbuster.

But here is the teaser trailer that we released last week on digitalFusions.com :D

wow, pretty cool.. it reminds me of the Matrix though... are you trying to rip 'em off? j/k hahaha anyway, you should've had a VO along with the music, instead of just music. Good luck on the movie.. :D

Razorwing, thanks for checking out the trailer.

btw, as per your comment. Most action films nowadays mimic Hong Kong style action films, hence, the Wachowski brothers did the same. The director of the film, is a huge HK films fan, so yes, he has mimicked styles from say director John Woo, or actor, Chow Yun Fat.

So we are culturally bred with the genres (be it music or film), and tend to pick up ideas that have already been used. :D

I'll post when the final film gets released. (Y)

Well then how are we supposed to see the first one or this when its finished I'm curious? Cause if theres no way for anyone outside your town to see it, then I'm wondering why your posting this on Neowin. Sorry if I came off a bit rude, I'm just curious is all.

By the way, it looks neat. (Y)

Kairon, the films are all on the site! :pinch:

Please look under the "film" section to view all the films. :p

As per your question of how you'll be able to view this film; when the new film is released it'll be uploaded to the site, so you will be able to stream or download it to your comp for later viewing.

Cheers.

looks ok, i am sure the teaser limits you to developing a story in the preview...not a fan of the shadow/double image, but still looks like a good watch, and I am sure it'd be fantastic...I am actually organizing a film festival come the summer, for canadian filmmakers (ontario based really) pm me if you are interested in submitting!

Unique, the "ghosting" effect that you saw was purposely done, as it forecasts the protagonist's outcome later in the film. You will see the use of it in only one area of the film alone. I will explain further when the film is done.

And yes the teaser is a definate limitation to how much we can reveal in the plot.

Again, keep in mind, this is a student film.

As for the festival, please pm me with the details or post them in this thread if you prefer. We're in Canada so we'd be happy to submit our film for the festival.

Cheers.
