Why I hate UVa (University of Virginia)

Recommended Posts

Ok guys...I'm a Virginia Tech fan so I decided to put together a Top 10 list of why I hate UVa. The "Wa-Who?" fans may not enjoy this :)

Top 10 Reasons I Hate UVa:

10) Many UVa fans refuse to attend a game in Blacksburg. Must be

because there is no Valet Parking, or high heels hurt after a long

walk.

9) Students are not referred to as freshmen, sophomore, etc. They are

known as first years, second years, etc. .... and Thomas Jefferson is

the founder of the University. They do the same thing at Hogwarts

School of Witchcraft and Wizardy

8) You need to understand that they are not just any school. They

prefer to be known as a "Public-Ivy" or "Quasi-Ivy" .... and Thomas

Jefferson is the founder of the University. Just like Delta Burke and

Oprah are Quasi-thin.

7) It is very uncool to wear loud football related gear to the game

(especially game jerseys). A nice golf or polo shirt with some hint of

school colors is more than adequate to show your ambivalence for

student athletics .... and Thomas Jefferson is the founder of the

University. Thats because most of the people there are unaware there

is a game going on. Being at the stadium is a social "BE SEEN" event.

Can't say much about this one...I just call'em like I see'em.

6) Though it may sound like Auld Lang Syne (the New Years song), it is

not. It is the Wahoo fight song and it is referred to as the "Wahoo

song" .... and Thomas Jefferson is the founder of the University.

Sounds like Auld Lang Syne to me. Maybe if they used whole band for

the past 50 years we could tell the difference.

5) If they win, they'll be all too happy to point out the superiority

of their university. However, should they lose, they'll be glad to

point out the academic superiority of the University (they would have

beat you if you didn't allow @#%$ and derelicts to play on your team)

.... and Thomas Jefferson is the founder of the University.

4) They are not just football players, they are student athletes (even

thought the average SAT score of the Virginia football squad is 933 -

not enough to get in UVA for the average Joe Schmoe) .... and Thomas

Jefferson is the founder of the University. Sounds like Preferential

Treatment of Athletes to me. But it's really funny because that's 19

points lower than the average SAT score of Virginia Tech football

players.

3) The "grounds" were designed by architect Thomas Jefferson .... and

Thomas Jefferson is the founder of the University. Hence the reason

the "grounds" are so beautiful, Thomas Jefferson when to William and

Mary.

2) When they lose to Virginia Tech they actually say things like "Well

wait until basketball season". This was actually said to me when it

bacame apparent that UVa was going to lose to VT. Uva is the France of

college football. They conceed that they cannot compete on the

football field then say something stupid like that. By the

way...Nobody cares about college basketball.

1) UVa was founded by Thomas "Welp, the wife is sick and aint puttin'

out so I think I'll go rape a slave" Jefferson. Wonderful heritage!

a vt student accidentally rear ends a uva student on I-81. they pull off to the side of the road and get out of their cars. once they find out where the other goes to school, they have a quick laugh about the silly rivalry between the schools and share a laugh. the vt student goes to his trunk and pulls out a bottle of jack daniels and 2 shot glasses. he pours 2 shots and offers the uva student one. after the vt student says a quick toast, the uva student takes his shot right afterwards as the vt student watches. the vt student then proceeds to pour his shot on the ground just as the police cruiser pulls up.

hehehe... suckers.

No I don't hate them because Thomas Jefferson founded UVa...It's just because UVa students always brag about the college being founded by Thomas Jefferson. :)

Why can't they brag? Hell, I would brag about it as well :p
