i love how TSF has an attitude with people who don't immediately say "it rocks", and for the ones who say "it sucks"..

"let's see you make a better skin" is exactly the immature and unconstructive response that should never come from an artist when critiqued, no matter how harsh or idiotic the evaluation might be. an artist shouldn't be defensive or give excuses for his work, just accept whatever input is coming his way, discard the unconstructive ones and always work to improve themselves..

i've never been a fan of your work, maybe because of the attitude you portray across the Internet.. the way i see it, you really need to humble down and accept that you wouldn't be nowhere if it wasn't for the end-user.. commercially speaking, of course.

//EDIT: by the way, your sig is violating the guidelines.. the limits are 170x550..

The Skins Factory is right. Typical mob/bandwagon mentality. One person says it's ****, so does the rest. I'd like to see them all make a better skin

And i said this:

Actually i never said "just because they can't do better doesn't mean they can't like it" that was someone else. I said i don't ever expect everyone to like everything we do. But when you have one person say "this is fugly" and then 6 posts pop up saying the same thing right after and its not happening on any other place i posted it then yeh that seems to me like people are just jumping on the bandwagon.

We knew that not everyone was going to like it. It's a dark skin. It's not going to go with the typical Luna, Royale or Aero looking desktops. That's fine. But i'd rather people say they don't like it because they don't like it instead of copying someone else's remark trying to be funny.

Got anything else to comment on memnoc?

thanks for the reading tip, though.. heard fine things about Curious George.. (Y)

also, i'd appreciate you laying off the name calling in my PMs.. i never insulted you, and i don't see the need to get there.. but then again, that only proves my point correct all along..

cheers.

you're taking that statement out of context. It wasn't said nasty it was a hey if you can do better go ahead. Not said like how you think i said that. I don't see anything wrong with that but thanks for pointing that out. And about my signature which i fixed.

and curious george owns :-)

Is there a direct download link? (or was it a requirement of Nvidia that all links point to NZone?)

NZone is blocked here at work, and I don't want to spend all day downloading the 5mb on my dialup at home.

But for the record, I grab every skin The Skins Factory releases. The are ALL great and quality work.

you have to download it from nZone.

No we can take criticism what we can't take is rudeness. There's a big difference. Instead of saying things like "this is fugly", why not say "i don't like this because..."

so that we can listen and perhaps keep that in mind for future projects.

Sure sometimes i'll say "if you don't like it don't download it" - its a pretty standard response. I don't download what i don't like. But i usually don't comment if i don't like something unless i have something constructive to contribute.

I respect your talent but I have also noticed the attitude towards people who do not like your skins. If people point out things they don't like about your skins, you have said "then don't use it". You guys can't take critisism, its sad.

can you point me to where i've said that? Besides on the nvidia release. I'd like to know where you've seen it. And i'm not saying i haven't said i just want to know where. Maybe i'm saying it too much or maybe you're making it sound worse than it is. Thanks.

    • The current Statcoungter desktop numbers has Google Chrome increasing it's market share this past year and currently commanding 75% share. Everybody else is just making up the numbers with even MS Edge losing 3% this past year and has dipped just below 10% share which is staggering considering it's default on every Windows deviced purchased. If these numbers are correct that terrible Edge number is both devastating and embarrassing for MS especially when you add in the terribly low Bing market share. This leads me to ask a couple of questions as the default browser holding just less than 10% market share seems really weird. It used to be that all Chromium browsers were being counted as Google Chrome in some cases.  Is this still happening? Do these high Google Chrome numbers contains some Edge user numbers?
    • Yeah, all web browsers seem to have some junk in them these days. The regular Brave browser has a lot of unnecessary stuff in it, similar to Microsoft Edge, so I don't see any benefits of using Brave over Microsoft Edge if you already have Microsoft Edge fully set up with ad blockers and that. The cleanest or best free browser outside of 'Microsoft Edge' I’ve tried so far is 'Samsung Browser'. It has very little bloat and is a nice-looking web browser with an inbuilt 'Ad blocker'. I also really like the web browser called 'Floorp' that is based on Firefox. This browser can also install Chrome extensions. I have a system wide Ad blocking program for Windows 11 that doesn't just blocks ads in the web browser, but over the whole system. I don't really need a web browser with an inbuilt ad blocker because of that.
