edbro
Every now and then I will lose the background in Neowin's forums. If I copy over a backup of my profile, they will look correct again. I can't figure out what is doing it though because I will get this problem without adding any extensions or themes before the problem occurs. Something in my profile is changing though to cause the problem. Here is what I am talking about: Here is what it should be in my browser: Has anybody else seen this? edbro
It is wierd because it only happens at Neowin and only in the forums. I tried refresh many times and that doesn't work for me. I also tried changing my Neowin theme (from Blue to Classic) and that didn't work. As I said, the only thing that works is to restore my profile from a backup. Larney
Tools -> Options -> Privacy -> Clear All Reload Firefox and it works again. Its something to do with conflicting cache I think. MR_Candyman
hmm...must be a windows only bug in firefox...I haven't ever gotten it on my machines (running the linux version) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/252849-ff-conflict-with-neowin/#findComment-585040940 Share on other sites
edbro
Okay, based on what Radish just said, I figured out what is causing it for me. If I run CrapCleaner while FF is running, I get the problem every time. I have Crapcleaner set to clear FF's cache. If I run Crapcleaner again after shutting down FF, it is good again (clearing the cache as Radish suggested). So, it appears to cause a conflict in FF's cache if you clear it while FF is loaded.
