AbsoluteDNA
Well Folks, I've done it again! Yes, it is true! I have again modded firefox to make it faster and more relaible! I had beed testing a script i wrote to make FF faster and after a month in the making and modding i have finally come up with the best results. Of course I had help from various forums like mozillazine in creating this script but what matters is its benifit. By downloading the file below, and following the instructions you will again have a more kickass firefox in terms of speed and security! I decided to call the script KickAsserFF! LOL Get the script here : KickAsserFF! Note: KickAsserFF! is ? CouGeR ~aka~ Me . Please do not distribute it without permission from CouGeR. BTW : Plz share your thoughts about this with me, it helps me improve it , check for popularity, bug reports (shouldnt be any but u never know). etc. Edited December 4, 2004 by Hi! metallithrax
1) Making sure Firefox isn't running, pick the file from the folder indicating your connection type. Which folder would this be. I only have 3 jscript files. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/252882-kickasserff/#findComment-585041142 Share on other sites

If you did, youwould see that it is harmless. All he is doing is changing some network settings. Looks like he did a pretty good job with them. Infact you should do this too along with my KickAsserFF! it really helps with speed ;) Here is a quick tip to make firefox 1.0 faster in browsing : 1) Open Firefox 2) Type "about:config" withought the quotations in the address bar 3) Look for this -> network.dns.disableIPv6 4) Double click on it, notice the value on the extreme right changes to true from false 5) Close all firefox windows Enjoy! You now have an even better kickass firefox Let me know if you see the difference Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/252882-kickasserff/#findComment-585041318 Share on other sites

Even thought its not being used much now, it should be used more in the future. I would leave it on. Tarzan
Would you mind telling what difference is between your download and the old "Firefoxtweaks" from here https://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=187044 ? Even the readme.txt is a ripoff. Why are the .js files simular? same date, same content? You managed to change readme.txt, great... If Im right you should be banned, if not I should ;) Judging from your story of hard labour last month I will take that risk.
