I read the thread and didn't see whether or not you can uninstall it. so, is there an uninstaller created? is this only something that can be installed onto the xp cd before you install with it?

The installer works as an ordinary app....you can install it and uninstall it.

Sorry to ask, but is there a chance of the files in a simple Zip?

No, it is not possible. The installer does not include any file, but resources. You can install XPize, search for all modified files, save them in a folder and zip them. Why you want them in a zip? You can see what files have been modified in C:\WINDOWS\XPize (hidden). Here you wil find a folder containing all resources for every file, so you will know which files have been modified.

Hope it helps

XPize news:

The installer will be redesigned so it will have a custom page that has two options:

1) Integrate XPize into the i386 directory of a custom XP CD

2) Install XPize

Hope this solve all problems some people got when I decided to get rid of "classic packs".

EDIT: It will take time to develop it...dont expect it for tomorrow...

the clock is a BIT flashy :D

rest looks good...

Is there a definitive list off all changes made during install?

Frankly , i dont see as much of a change as i thought i would.

I do like the volume control panel tho :D

.........

after using for a bit.. one suggestion.. i would use some kinda "data" images for file transfer dialogue, as i dont remember the last time i used internet explorer to download anything but software, not usually pics, music or videos, know what i mean?

anyway, just a thought, that kinda weirded me out and made me think about uninstalling for a second, i suppose ill try live with it tho for now.

Yes, the clock isn't perfect..I have improved it, but don't expect too much, there is lot of Win95 stuff I can't deal with.

The map is OK, this will be probably the definitive one.

Wel, changes are not so spectacular as in other shell packs cuz this shell pack is based on XP, not in a new look and feel. But if you explorer you Windows, you will see lots of new stuff.

Yeah, a "data" image would be good, but it is very problematic. The white color becomes transparent in animations I design, so it will be difficult to me to create an animation with a goodlooking "data" image in it...I will try though.

Sorry, no list of changes...I started this project just for my own pleasure, so didnt take note of all replacements I did

XPero

Can you replace it with a .swf clock? That would be cool if you could use the Longhorn slate clock (.swf version by Windows X, you'll need permission if you use it).

How about patching the Taskbar and Start Menu control panel applet? The icon is only 32x32 not 48x48 and is pixelated.

    • Cooler Master MasterFrame 600 PC case is now 33% off on Amazon by Ivan Jenic The Cooler Master MasterFrame 600 is currently $109.99 on Amazon, down from its original $164.99 list price. That's 33% off and $55 saved on this premium aluminum mid-tower case with a modular design. If you're upgrading your PC case and want something that doesn't force you into a rigid layout, the MasterFrame 600 is worth a look. The case is built around the Cooler Master's FreeForm 2.0 platform, which lets you reconfigure the internal structure according to your hardware. Magnetic side panels allow for straightforward adjustments, and the case supports everything from Mini-ITX to E-ATX motherboards without compromise. There's also generous cooling headroom. Four pre-installed PWM fans handle airflow out of the box. GPU clearance goes up to 410mm, and the case supports radiators up to 420mm with room for three simultaneously. Truth be told, this might not be the prettiest case on the market, but it’s highly functional. The aluminum construction keeps the whole thing lightweight despite its size, and the finish looks noticeably better than the plastic mid-towers competing at this price point. If you want a serious, flexible case that prioritizes function over flashy aesthetics like RGB lighting, the MasterFrame 600 delivers at a reasonable price. • Your daily driver? Weird, seeing that you don't seem to understand how your own browser downloads and installs its updates. What you posted earlier is factually incorrect...
