dreamsINdigital
Can someone tell me how to clear the favicon cache in Firefox? I remember it used to clear itself when you cleared cache from the privacy tab in the settings, but it doesn't do that anymore (for me at least). Also, how can I stop it from stealing favicons from other sites of the bookmark doesn't have a favicon? I heard this bug was fixed, but it still seems to do that. I'm running the latest relrease of Firefox. Thanks! Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/254354-clear-favicon-cache/ Share on other sites
Fotix
Favicons are now all stored in the bookmarks.html file. Just a minor FYI. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/254354-clear-favicon-cache/#findComment-585062637 Share on other sites

Any way to clear the icons? Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/254354-clear-favicon-cache/#findComment-585062778 Share on other sites

It doesn't clear them all in one go as far as I know. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/254354-clear-favicon-cache/#findComment-585063145 Share on other sites
dreamsINdigital
Yeah I heard about that. I have too many bookmarks to do it one by one though. :( Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/254354-clear-favicon-cache/#findComment-585063233 Share on other sites
Fotix
You could also import your bookmarks.html file into Internet Explorer, and then export it from IE favorites back to a bookmarks.html file. You'll lose the order of your bookmarks, lose the menu seperators, lose any descriptions for bookmarks, and lose certain characters in the bookmark titles that Windows does not support in filenames, though. I don't know what effect importing into Mozilla (the original suite) and exporting will have...
