Spam because of the gmail thread

This is what i received in my hotmail inbox today :

Hello there!

I was surfing the web and found your email address on www.neowin.net/forum/lofiversion/.

I found you are looking for a gmail invite.

If you still need it, I would sell it to you.

You can pay on paypal. I want USD 8 for it.

If you want it, please send me an reply to eladoaccount.com

The email came from [email protected], with the reply address at [email protected]

This obviously is made by a bot, because i'm on the gmail thread GIVING invites for free...

Anybody else received such a email?? :no:

you shouldn't go posting your email in a forum post. that's what the email button is for.

if you're gonna post it, at least take out the '@' and the '.'

such as: some_dude - at - hotmail - dot - com

You can't blame Neowin, since bots scour all websites looking for email addresses.

haha give credit to the guy, he's making money :D

i wouln't like receiving that type of eMail though, but HEY you have megabytes by the hundreds! spam me! w00t haha i can take you all down muhaha

Dude !exactly, my email is nowhere on the site. They use the "send email" fonction of neowin's forum.

I always say " PM for gmail invites, i have 4 left" or something.

This is why this email troubled me a bit
