Awesome. Unfortunately, I need money so I will have to sell my pre ordered psp on ebay, and wait for revision 2.

How will WAL-MART sell the PSP?

I am going to try to go when they start selling them, which would either be at midnight, or unfortunately for me during my lunch break on the 24th- WAL-MART (2 of them) is the only store remotely near my place of work that will be selling them. I remember they sold XBOXs at midnight because I was there to pick one up (and stand in line)

If I can get one on the 24th, I will give my preorder for 2nd shipment to my brother for his birthday - which my mom will reimberse me for HA! I'll pick up a game for him tho. If not, I'll just have to wait...

Well the auction I bid on turned out to be a fraud, so...

Anyways, after lots of searching, I found an even better way to get it (for Canadians with VISA credit cards). At dvdboxoffice.com they have it at the normal price ($349.95), but there's no provincial tax if you're outside of wherever DVD Box Office is (unlike at Amazon which has stopped preordering anyways or Toys'r'us where you always pay GST+PST). Shipping is also free, and with this month's VISA promotion code of "VISA2005BE" for a 15% discount it comes out to $318.28. That's for the Value Pack with the Spiderman 2 UMD, although I don't know if that crappy Gretzky hockey game is included (I hope not).

I can't take the wait any more!!!

One week seems like an eternity away....

frikking hell

I am just so excited about my psp that will be at my door tomorrow or day after, and even that seems an eternity away.

Besides debating the other game I'm getting besides Lumines (probably I'll pick a racer), I was wondering if the games come with plastic cases, or are they just in the cardboard box? If they don't, how are you carrying around your games (I saw http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/255786.asp which I'll probably get)?

I called WAL-MART and they said you can get them at midnight. If I am not too tired, I'll camp out after work lol

    • Google Gemini co-lead Noam Shazeer is leaving for OpenAI by Pradeep Viswanathan Noam Shazeer is best known as one of the co-authors of the 2017 “Attention Is All You Need” paper, which introduced the Transformer architecture that now powers most large language models. He also worked on several major Google AI projects, including LaMDA, before leaving the company in 2021 to co-found Character.AI. He also authored the Sparsely-gated Mixture of Experts (2016) paper, which is popular among the AI community. After falling behind OpenAI and Anthropic a couple of years ago, Google brought Shazeer back in 2024 as part of a major deal with Character.AI. Through this deal, along with Noam, several other researchers returned to Google DeepMind. More recently, he was a vice president of engineering at Google and a technical co-lead for Gemini. Today, Noam Shazeer announced on X that he is leaving Google and joining OpenAI. In his post, Shazeer said it was a difficult decision to move on, adding that he was proud of the Google team and what it had built together. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman welcomed the move with a post of his own, saying Shazeer was one of the people he had most wanted to work with since OpenAI’s early days. Google has made strong progress with Gemini over the past year, closing the gap with OpenAI in several areas. But losing Noam Shazeer is a major talent setback for them, especially after bringing him back less than two years ago by spending a fortune. For OpenAI, the hire adds one of the industry’s most experienced language model researchers to a team that is already pushing ahead with ChatGPT, Codex, and its next generation of frontier models.
