i got a new car!

Recommended Posts

i just bought myself a brand new car, 2005 toyota camry le silver. this is my first car, and i'm paying for it with my salary at 1.9% rate.

i was a little nervous at first because i had to drive it home from the dealer, which was 30 miles away. i was afraid i'd get some scratches on my new car, but it rides so smoothly.

it's nice.

thanks, all. :)

i also had an interesting experience on the way to the dealership. i took the train up north, and i pulled out some reading material, "essays in existentialism" by sartre, when the dude next to me starts staring at me and my book. then he says, "so you're into philosophy, eh?"

we started talking (well, he did most of the talking) about eastern philosophy, and then he gave me his phone number. i've never been given a phone number by some random guy before, so it was a little strange.

1.9% ): I'll be lucky to nab 8%

yeah, it's reliable. that was one of the reasons for getting the camry (my dad kept pushing for it. :p).

drthodt, find someone to cosign. you might get a good deal.

i'm lucky, though. i had some good credit, and i just graduated, so i got the low rate and a special college grad rebate.

chconline, do people not usually get a camry for their first car? :D my dad couldn't decide between the honda accord and the toyota camry, but we ended up with the camry. he gave me several thousand for the down payment, and i'm paying the rest.

good luck getting your car, altezza! :)

    • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, Flip 8, Z Fold Wide: Everything you need to know The ONLY thing I need to know is the price, which I know will be way higher than I (and most people) are willing to pay for a phone... so basically nothing here I need to know. PS: Nice job getting that Apple reference to a non-existent and unrevealed product as "competition" in there. Cheque is in the mail.
