ClearInfo 0.48 for beta testing

Question

As some of you may remember before I was making a monitoring program called ClearInfo. I sort of gave up on it until recently, it now has auto update, cpu usage is now percentage, detects your cpu (almost any that exist), html output, skins, new settings dialog, etc. Anyways, if somebody feels like beta testing it, please leave a comment about what you think or what else I should add. Also, if you find a bug, leave information about your OS and setup. Hope everybody enjoys it :D

Website for ClearInfo here

EDIT: I forgot it add its only for Win2k/XP, but it might work on 98.

lazydesert,

Thanks for pointing out the cleartype problem, I will get right on it (the problem is that font draw themselves in a dithered fashion) The only solution I have found for now is to change it to a non-transparent background for it to be seen properly, I will work on it though. Thanks for making the icon, it will be in the next release, do you want me to link to your website in the about dialog or just put your username?

timdorr,

Thanks for changing the thread name, I will message you if I need it changed again :)

Btw, To anybody that could provide hosting it would be appreciated, all i need in 10mb and php support for the site to work.

Heads up Z. I like the fact that Clearinfo shows the title of the current track being played in Winamp but if the name is too long then it isn't fully displayed since you can't resize Clearinfo's window. Would it be possible to have the text scroll along just like in winamp?:knocked:

I have tried implementing that, however the problem is that when scrolling text, when ClearInfo is transparent causes around 70% cpu usage, and it sometimes becomes blurry. I will try to work on that though over the next few days so you can enable it in the settings dialog.

"Shuriken- also known as death star. It is a sharp, star-shaped object which is the common arsenal of the ninja. It is usually coated at the tips with a thin film of poison to hasten death. Because of the light weight and deep impact some assasinations are commited with naught but 1 or 2 of these deadly weapons."

I knew those old pieces of parchment would come in handy someday.:ditsy:

    • Not such a great deal, Ultimate, which gives you full 5080 features is $181.99 CAD per month, that's $2183.88 per year, I can buy the 5080 for $1809.99 CAD, then it goes up to $279.99 per month after the first billing cycle. Typical cloud rental, costs more than buying the hardware.
    • Wow, spoken like a true blind hater, you don't even provide arguments. Please, go check my comment above to @seacaptain and you'll find out why what you say doesn't make sense in this context...
    • Get used to this, with AI tooling now uncovering new vulns and getting them exploitable far faster than has ever been possible before software is going to need to be updated far more frequently. Back in the day it may take reseachers weeks or months to do what AI can now do in hours. Once its a threat is discovered it's weaponsized far more quickly, meaning you simply can't be waiting 2, 3, 4 weeks to deploy a patch, it needs to be patched immediately. Going to be interesting handling this in the enterprise space where traditionally patching has been steady, but very staged (and rightly so up until now), that is going to have to change.
    • You don't need to "close all browser sessions constantly" or wait for updates to install. The updates download in the background while you use the browser, without interrupting you, they install automatically the next time you launch the app. And they install very fast (depending on your storage speeds, of course), you have to wait at most 2-3 extra seconds, if any. Seems like you haven't used Edge in a loooooooong time...
