Firefox & K-Lite Codec Pack.. Quicktime Embeded

Recommended Posts

ok.. I have Firefox 1.0 installed along with the K-Lite Codec Pack. When i go to view a Quicktime movie Firefox says i don't have the plugin.. If i tell it to download the plugin it wants to download and full install quicktime which i don't want...

however i can play the mov file if i save it and open it with windows media player classic.

Under Download -> Filetypes (MOV File) I have changed it over to Windows media Player classic there but that only works if it is a link to a MOV not an Embeded MOV..

anyone got any suggestions or has a fix for this besides downloading and installing Quicktime?

Have you uninstalled/reinstalled firefox after installing the codec pack?

I'd try running the codec pack install again and make sure to check the option for the browser plugin.

Check your C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\plugins\ folder. There should be a bunch of dll's for quicktime, realplayer and whatever else it installs.
