A preview to the icons I've changed.

Camino.jpg

The theme for Firefox remains the default one, but the icons have been replaced with the Camino ones from Mac OS X version. You would have noticed from the above screenshot that some icons are not changed. I've not changed these because I think the default ones look better than those in Camino. If you have any special requests you can post it below and I'll look into it.

To install:

1 Download the .png image below

Toolbar.png

2 Locate classic.jar on your computer

Should be in C:/Program Files/Mozilla Firefox/chrome

3 Using WinRAR or other programs locate this folder within classic.jar

(classic.jar\skin\classic\browser)

4 Inside the above folder, there should be a .png image named Toolbar.png. Delete Toolbar.png

5 Add the downloaded file into the archive and rename it Toolbar.png if it's already not that name

6 Save the changes and replace classic.jar in your chrome folder, do not forget to back up the original in case the changes don't work

Note: The icons only work when you show large icons in Firefox. I've yet to start on small icons. The resizing of Toolbar.png to 240 x 64 and renaming it Toolbar-small.png should work. You can try it at your own risk. Some people have said that the icons look pixelish, I cannot help this because the original icons were 32 x 32 and I had to resize them down to 24 x 24 and lost some quality while doing so I think. They look ok in Firefox unless you sit 5 cm away from the screen ;)

Enjoy. :)

    • There is a huge portion of the Windows users who use a cooperate provided computer, which means they are using an organization provided username and not a Microsoft username. Also, they users may not be allowed to install a 3rd party browser, so this would be perfect for them.
    • COBOL itself is not the problem. Code that has been bodged and kludged over decades but still somehow runs is probably the sort of Gordian knot that even AI can't necessarily unravel.
    • Nice devices but my Surface Pro 9 got bricked from a Windows Update efter only three years. Never buying a device from MS again.
