How do I get a superkaramba theme to load with my window manager? Right now I'm using KDE - but all I've figured out is that I can drag the icon to KDE's start up folder and have the intro window start. Then I have to navigate to a theme folder and reselect my preferred theme.

Surely there must be an easier/quicker way of doing it?

Taken from the website

2.3. How do I set up my themes to run automatically on startup?

Turn on KDE session support in the KDE control panel. When session support is enabled, any theme that is left running when you logout will automatically start on startup. For some themes you will also need to right-click and reload the theme at least once after running it so that the config file will get written to your home directory. Another solution is to create a desktop config file in the KDE autostart directory. To create a desktop config file, open KWrite and enter the following:

[Desktop Entry]

Exec=superkaramba {location of theme file}.theme

Name={theme name}

Type=Application

X-KDE-StartupNotify=false

Then save it as {theme}.desktop into /home/{user}/.kde/Autostart/.

Mmm... that's pretty weird and a tad frustrating. The second method works, but when I restart KDE the widgets move back to their original default location on the screen, no matter if I manually move them myself first or not. I know I can toggle the fixed location of the theme on the screen, but this doesn't stick after restarting X.

Any hints?

NM... The secret is to combine these two approaches and make a desktop config file for each theme you want to load at KDE start up. Place each file in your .kde startup folder (in my case it would be /home/raid517/.kde/Autostart) then load the themes you want by double clicking the desktop config files you just made - and then also make sure you RELOAD them once you have placed them on the desktop where you want them. This as was mentioned above will write the config files - and the positions of your widgets will be saved after you restart KDE.

Pretty straightforward when you have the right info. :)

Thanks a lot for your help.

    • I'm not aware of this issue, but to help the other guys.  What version of Android are you using? Did you try a different browser? To see if Edge is the issue here.
    • I agree when are you going to read this (really poor BTW) article? Here is a better article so you actually know what is going on and answers questions you had in other comments --> https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2026/05/speed-boosting-low-latency-profile-is-one-of-the-improvements-coming-to-windows-11/ It is unclear if one will be able to disable the new profile at this point but I am not seeing any reason why one would.
    • I disagree; they come off very "bitchy" and "whiny". Make a great product and combine that with a great price (free) and people will come over to your side. Or build it and they will come as they say. Constantly trying to get attention by complaining all the time, will turn people off to your product.
    • It use to be a nightmare, with LibreOffice supporting a newer draft ODF standard by default, and Microsoft Office supporting the older non-draft standard. Now that they both support the same version of ODF, they should be interoperable.
