ADSL modem dhcp

Hey guys once again this upgrade is annoying the accoutn hasnt been activate dthe line took for ever, but anyway the server wont accept a ip from the modem , except when i plugged it into 1 of our pcs it gave a ip now this is confusing me i disabled the isa 2004 firewall thinkging that was it but it isnt and the dhcp client is running, anyone have any ideas?

Open Network Connections in Control Panel and get the properties of the connection to your modem. Open TCP/IP properties and make sure it's set to use DHCP and doesn't include a static configuration.

Oh, and your keyboard has keys for punctuation; it'd be nice to see you use them, because I had to read your post about 3 times to understand what you were saying :wacko:

well seeing that i run a sever i think i already know that it cant a static ip ive set it up to recieve a ip from the DHCP
