Well, after my Yahoo! Video Search rush job this morning, I thought I would do something for myself and put together a Neowin News search for the Firefox search bar. You may have to restart Firefox to see the icon in the search bar because it doesn't always seem to load the png immediately after installation like it does gifs.

To install the search script, goto http://s95078194.onlinehome.us/

gah I screwed it up first time around. 0.2 is out now. It automatically sorts it in descending order since I think it makes more sense this way.

edit: lol 0.3 is out. I forgot to add the settings to search not only titles, but full posts and articles also. This is what I get for rushing. Sorry guys.

what about a neowin forum search plugin??

I'm trying. There are a few "fun" sides of IPB that make me angry and you won't like me when I'm angry.

edit: I don't think it's going ot be possible unless I can figure some pretty tricky stuff out. IPB encrypts the search text and then assigns an SID which contains all the information. You can't exactly just get an FX search script to assign an IPB compatible SID.

This is a neowin thing, but you can only search for words with 3 or more characters.

You can use google to search for short words, such as "usb" this way...

The seacrh was updated recently to allow 3 character searching. If you are only searching for two characters, only then are you out of luck.

Really? AWESOME! It has sooo sucked to not be able to type in USB, CPU, RAM and other 3-letter computer-related terms.

Well, the Google thing will still work for two-letter searches, like "CD" or... ummm... "if". :p

Ahhh, didn't know there was a 2 character limit now, but, i tried searching for gpl and it didnt work, said that the search string needs to be 3 characters or more, so i think i just found a bug.

    • Exactly. They won't go 100 because current gen consoles are simply too old for any groundbreaking graphics or gaming experience otherwise. They will go with standard (console) price 70 or go with 80 if they really want to go premium. Of course they will have more expensive options too with some useless cosmetics as always.
    • Doesn’t surprise me at all. God is light & He gave us life so it sounds almost logical that we would therefore emit a certain amount of light.
    • This is what I want. Hey Gemini, how do I remove you from all my google products permanently?
    • I would never install install this build before rtm process. only 3 months to go. never install on your daily devices. just wait 3 months.
