I have just got a new unopened pentium m processor from a raffle.

its

2GHz

400MHz FSB

2MB L2 Cache

Should I try to sell it or build my own notebook?

Get a motherboard from DFI and build a computer.

Unless you already have a Pentium M notebook, it will not work in any other laptop.

You can build a DESKTOP with the DFI board. :)

i didnt think it was possible to build a notebook. if you can i would imagine it would be expensive.

ah...I was just at an intel "Build your own notebook" workshop where I won the processor in a raffle so I was wondering what I should do with it. The guy who did the presentation even showed that it was possible to put together a notebook in under 6 minutes which i thought was pretty cool. =)

If you are planning to build a Notebook, you might want to wait for Alviso chipset this upcoming year. Although that's only my suggestion. The new Alviso chipset will incorporate SATA, PCI-E, and DDR-II, and the new Azalia to replace the AC-97 (I guess).
