iTunes is great for all your music needs, and Quicktime is good if you want to play one file without having all the features of iTunes.

i just got my ibook.

i was wondering if u guys can tell me the most important apps i need to download(for example winamp for windows)

i would stick with itunes for you music needs. i can't think of any other osx audio app that will top it. as far as other apps you should download.. i recommend adium for your multi-protocal instant messaging needs. i also recommend vlc player for video.
