Best Guides to build computers

Recommended Posts

Been searching this section and found nothing helpful, so I wanted to compile a few sites that are the most help in building computers (not modding). They should probably include step-by-step pictures if possible.

Just wanted to get a better feel for building my own computer through some excellent guides that you guys have used. Thanks

Are you curious on which parts you need? Cause to tell you the truth building a computer is so simple that an armless monkey could do it.

Parts you'll need are mainly as follows

1) Case

2) Power Supply

3) Motherboard

4) Processor

5) Heatsink/fan if you got a processor that didn't include one.

6) Hard Drive

7) CD or DVD rom, whichever you prefer

8) A video card if the motherboard doesn't have it already onboard.

9) RAM

10) All the extra crap. Mouse/Keyboard/Speakers/Dead Puppy/video game controllers/lighting.

That truthfully is a majority of it. If you want anything from there, go for it. However, each and every one of those parts usually come with detailed instructions on how to install them.

I personally learned to build computers by experimenting with mine :p You can also try it on an old computer if you can get one. The process is basically the same.

Anyway, here are some videos from AMD:

:)

Well the thing was I'm building one for a friend but she hasn't got the slightest clue what parts her parents were buying so I wasn't sure if they were going to come with a good manual (Not sure what where or who they are buying from).

SIG, I'm planning on experimenting with a different friends computer once I acquire it, might need a harddrive though because I'm transferring the one out of that computer to their new one.
