It may be illegal, but if it transmits with low power, noone will notice :shifty:

but if your on the highway with traffic everyone in a 30 feet circumfrence including cops will hear your are illegally transmiting copyrighted music and you have not been granted access to transmit over their favorite radio stations and steal the radio stations marketing commercial money. NUFF SAID!

Um I have asked something about the iTrip in my post. look at it again.

Nice last minute edit after reading my post.: :

What does the iTrip actually do, broadcast or recieve radio stations? I've never been too sure?

-it broadcasts music off of your ipod to any reiciver capable of recivieng incoming FM signals. it doesn't receive radio staions. only transmits.

ah I see. Has anyone actually be done in for this yet anywhere?

not that i have heard. maybe if you had the RIAA in england they would go out and arrest 8 year old girls and 76 year old grandpas for using this after they got it for a christmas present.

I also doubt that the signal is strong enough to interfere with a local radio station of decent power. It's designed to be used over static not a live broadcast.

[Moved to PDA, Tablet & Mobile Devices]

I have one and it transmits UPTO 30 feet (about 9m) but anything more than about 3m and you start to loose its quality, but withing this 3m it sounds about perfect. So unless the police car was driving right by the side of you or very close to your house no-one will ever even know you have one. I managed to get it to pass through a partion wall when I placed it right next to it (very thin compared to an outer brick wall). And it would only recieve the signal about 1m through the wall with a good sound and about 3m you lost the entire signal. So my guess is it probably wouldnt even escape your house if it has to pass throught solid outer brick walls. Also figure out the likely hood of someone catching you? As you can only be about .3 either side of the frequency before you loose the sound completely. Also why would the police be listening to the radio? and accidentaly pcik up on your frequency? - I think someone would have to almost tell them that you are using it and they would then have troubel catching you anyway. Im not saying your should break the law... im clearly pointing out the facts about using it.

    • You are clueless. The updates are done in the background so the next time you open Edge the updates are applied automatically. There is no need to close all your tabs. Just keep browsing like you normally do. Clearly you don't use Edge and are just one of those haters that complain for the sake of complaining.
    • I don't get this David. Can you explain it please.
    • Microsoft is busy. Lots of changes to be released imminently for Windows server or soon. Also, lots happening for next version as well. Third party virus scanning software is being moved out of Kernel mode to avoid repeat of Crowdstrike incident. Windows Protected Mode and Windows Ready Print no longer require third party print drivers to be installed. New storage stack being developed. New NVME drivers now available for Windows Server 2025 to improve local NVME drive performance by 60+ percent. NVME-Of of fabric being worked on for next release to improve network access to NVME drives. ReFs (next file system) now has ability to boot and will become default file system in next release of Windows Server. ReFs improves on NTFS in several areas including resiliency and reliability and scalability. New update stack is being worked on to unify Windows updates, and updates for drivers and first party/3rd party application software. A stricter and more robust third-party driver certification program (ODI) is being worked on to improve performance, thermals, battery life, and reliability on modern Windows hardware by tightening how OEMs and IHVs (Intel, AMD, Qualcomm, NVIDIA, etc.) build and ship drivers. There is a tone more but too numerous to mention.
    • Now disable that stupid OneDrive backup request when Windows starts please. So unbelievably frustrating to only have “remind me later” instead of “no and never ask me again”
    • Hello, The Media Creation Tool is still at v10.0.26100.7019 from October 2025. Just looks like the backend has been updated. Regards, Aryeh Goretsky
