Just a quick refresh on my personal system.

(resized for bandwidth)

Cara what are the following icons in your taskbar?

- The open lock right

- The green "on" button

- The temp meter

What programs are hidden behind them or what is their function? Especially the temp one looks interesting.

This shot should show a little larger and clearer... for some reason when I viewed my other post from another computer it came out blurry.... Hmmm...

OH YEAH and I think this is my first time posting my desktop... I've browsed these forums for a long time but never really posted here... so now I'll post more often. Hope you guys like. :D

Too busy, too many things going on at the same time, very uncoordinated. Fail.

Wow. Are you really criticizing how others uses their own desktop?

Some people can't stand that much going on. I have OCD and can't stand icons on the desktop. The hard drive icon on the desktop on my iMac drives me insane being there. I leave it for some odd reason, but I hate it there, I find myself starring hate it wanting to throw my iMac out of the window

I don't make comment here with regards to other people's setup, but I usually don't come into the desktop threads simply because looking at other people's desktops that are "cluttered" drives me insane. I find myself wanting to ask them how they can stand it. I don't, because it isn't any of my business, but I want to though.

sanctified: i was thinking exactly the same. impressive. (referring to the post, not that we were thinking the same thing.)

hurmoth: glad to see im not the only one having OCD on neowin. :p

einsteinbqat: could you share that awesome wall, please? =)

while im here i can just aswell post a new screenie myself...

^is it just me or is your menubar very thin? i say, the larger view says 1400*900 and if that is your native res aswell, i want to know how you managed to make it thin.

then again you could just have resized a 24" imac screenie.

enlighten me! =)

edit ... okay, the new screen looks all normal again. nevermind me. ;)

Sorry, that was downsized. I should have left it full res. I have a MBP 17 High Res. 1920x1200

This one looks a little better:

Wow so you really have enough time on your hands to criticize something that someone else likes? What exactly is it that I fail at mate? Making something that you like or that appeals to you? If so then obviously guilty as charged... Hmm... wait a minute I just thought of something. This is MY desktop and MY computer not yours so lets re-evaluate this a minute... I like it and it works for me and that is the point of having MY own computer so it looks like I did not fail after all. Awwwe thanks for playing though sport. We do have some lovely partying gifts for you. If you can flame your way back into your little troll hovel we'll ship you a nice healthy hearty cup of STFU. :)

I think reasonable critique and such shouldn't be discouraged, but the 'fail' remark was a bit much. This thread after all is about sharing our desktops for others to look at.

I don't think critique should be necessary at all. It's a topic for posting our desktops, and that's it. It's not a group discussion on "proper" desktop management.

Hmm... I suppose you guys are right, people should have the right to just post their desktops without fear of being ripped apart by an anonymous stranger. Though I don't think we should all get riled up if someone posts negative feedback when we always welcome positive feedback. I don't know.

This topic is now closed to further replies.

    • Good. I hope more people sue them for focusing on this worthless junk.
    • How about fire the guy who approved all the bad decisions? The guy who bought these studios in the first place? Oh wait, Satya is safe with his billions while the workers pay the price.
    • This had nothing to do with games. This is all about management wanting to squeeze as much money from Xbox to keep Microsoft's AI ambitions afloat. Someone has to make money to burn on AI.

The Ultra 9 185H features 16 cores and 22 threads running at up to 5.1 GHz. It also includes a dedicated NPU utilizing Intel AI Boost at 11 TOPS. On the graphics front, the 185H includes the still fairly capable ARC Graphics (not to be confused with the newer ARC 140T) integrated GPU with a max GPU frequency of 2350 MHz across 8 Xe-cores. It has been said that the iGPU is equivalent to the NVIDIA GeForce 3050 and GTX 1650 in gaming and synthetic benchmarks. Other highlights include an AMOLED display, LPDDR5x memory at 7467 MT/s, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, and a fingerprint sensor built into the power button. AI PC? Although the Intel Core Ultra 9 185H includes a dedicated NPU, it's only 11 TOPS; therefore, it does not qualify as a Copilot+ PC. However, it can reach up to 33 TOPS with a combination of NPU, CPU, and GPU. As I said, although we only reviewed the X14 Pro, the unboxing is the same for the X16 Pro, which I noted in my review. The packaging is quite a nice experience. The outer box houses the X16 Pro box with a small compartment that contains the 5-in-1 Dock ($40 value), which appears to be an "Early Bird" inclusion. Upon removing the box cover, the X16 Pro is revealed sitting in a cardboard compartment with two small booklets of documentation. To the left of the X16 Pro are two cardboard compartments containing the 65W charger and Type-C USB cable. What’s In The Box 1 x GEEKOM X16 Pro Ultra-thin Laptop 1 x Type-C to Type-C cable 1.8M 1 x 65W GaN PD Fast Charger 1 x Warranty Card 1 x Thank You Card 1 x User Guide All products sold by GEEKOM receive a 3-year free Warranty from the date you receive the product.
