And yet you have a Windows Vista partition. Oh the irony!

;) My husband is having a Vista issue, no matter how many times I tell him not to use it, so I bootcamped it to try and reproduce it. Heh. Also, sometimes it's fun to see how the other half live. ;)

I had x64 Vista on here until today when I decided to go back to XP x86. It's weirdly satisfying.

Don't mind Vista though, just prefer XP for better gaming performance.

It's a very old one, don't remember where I got it but the date is from 2001. (Attached)

I had x64 Vista on here until today when I decided to go back to XP x86. It's weirdly satisfying.

Don't mind Vista though, just prefer XP for better gaming performance.

This is Vista 64 also. 5.9 Vista index on this MBP. ;)

Yeah? I got 5.1. The 5400RPM and 256MB Graphics is what brought it down from an otherwise identical score.

Shame I don't have the monies =D

I'd give Vista x64 a try again but I recently upgraded a mates PC to 8GB of RAM as Vista was going slow as hell (go figure), so anyway, I added the RAM and reformatted the hard drive to x64 (was x86) and installed all relevant drivers etc. Two hours in, Bluescreen, Bluescreen, Bluescreen. every two hours on the dot.

So I installed XP x64 and no issues. I honestly dont understand how people can live with Vista.

Took bodysoulspirit Time Machine Screen Saver and Quartz Composer'd an apple logo in middle of it to make it like

altezza69 Time Machine Background

so its basically an Animated Version of Altezza69's ( without the glass apple logo ) but Vista Dreamsceneish

      What they really need to do is automatically spell "loses" and "lose" correctly since nobody seems to know how to anymore. Then they blame spellcheck/autocomplete and don't realize autocomplete is just filling in the word for them automatically so it was misspelled in the first place.

      If someone chooses to continue using SB and therefore goes through the manual intervention in the thread, afterwards the BSOD problem is gone. Whether they then re-enable the task doesn't matter, they're done, though on such machines it might pay to keep it disabled in case the next update (if there is a next) causes the same problem. OTOH, if someone disables SB in the BIOS, the problem is also gone. Incidentally, I noticed that this task exists even on machines that don't support SB. It's just installed across the board...and runs. Doing what on such machines is a little hazy.
