Catches 99.999999999999% of my spam, I submitted a feature request 'automatically delete spam' button :D

I doubt "SPAM infested" is the phrase you want to use. To think any email wont get any spam is pretty stupid, eventually any email address is gonna get some spam.

I've had my g-mail account for nearly a week now and not had one single unsolicited e-mail. I'm in the u.k though if that makes a difference?

Spam-Infested. Hardly, I rarely get any spam with it versus let say Yahoo or Hotmail :yes:

I've never had spam in my yahoo account either (nor my hotmail for that matter cept MS's own.) Maybe i'm just lucky or don't have an obvious enough mail address?

I have had my gmail account for a few months (like 5 or something) and i have only ever gotten 1 spam message, and gmail caught it.

The filter does catch almost all my spam but I get almost 300 per day! and no one even knows any of my email messages! My other emails including my 3 year old hotmail dont even get that much

all the spam I get is caught by the filter. I didn't check it once, never got anything from gmail checker, logged in and had 75 in the spam folder.

If you've ever opened a spam email, and there was a picture inside, it's probably the reason why you're screwed. Somehow they can check which account accesses each picture, and confirm that your account is active (and ready for more spam).

I have only received 2 spam emails and the filter caught them. Now compare to Yahoo and Hotmail, GMail is way better. I created 10 filters in Yahoo (thats the max amount for FREE accounts) and Hotmail I have a bunch created. :crazy:

Yea this is an old feature now really.. I've been using PoP Gmail for a long while now, and it's awesome. I hope they never charge for it.. but if they do.. I might have to pay and get it.. it just works.. hotmails never worked right for me.
