Deron Dantzler
I'm trying to use Virtual Private Networking with a colleague of mine, but I'm not really understanding how it's done? Any guides for this or any help? I'm on Windows XP. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/26555-virtual-private-networking/ Share on other sites
Geronimo
You are kinda asking a very broad question. Deron Dantzler
specifically the problem i'm having is that i've set up a vpn, and i'm able to connect to it, however i lose my regular lan connection while doing so which in turns disconnects the vpn. this problem also occured when trying to connect my laptop via parallel to my pc. i totally lost my connection to the internet until i disconnected the parallel device. then the connection to the internet was renewed. Secondly on local IP settings make sure you dont have the same subnet as the VPN server IP assigned address. I would also make sure the VPN server is giving you a routeable IP address.
