On the previous link that I gave you this variant did not have a manual removal, here it is! This is probably what you have on your PC.

Manual removal for CoolWebSearch.qttasks:

Please follow the instructions below if you would like to remove CoolWebSearch.qttasks manually.

Please notice that you must follow the instructions very carefully and delete everything that is mentioned. In most cases the removal will fail if one single item is not deleted. If CoolWebSearch.qttasks remains on your system after stepping through the removal instructions, please double-check by stepping through them again.

Start the registry editor. This is done by clicking Start then Run. (The Run dialog will appear.) Type regedit and click OK. (The registry editor will open.)

Browse to the key:

'HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Run'

In the right pane, delete the value called 'QuickTime Task', if it exists.

Exit the registry editor.

Restart your computer.

Start Windows Explorer and delete:

%WinDir%\qttasks.exe

Note: %WinDir% is a variable (?). By default, this is C:\Windows (Windows 95/98/Me/XP) or C:\WINNT (Windows NT/2000).

Start Microsoft Internet Explorer.

In Internet Explorer, click Tools -> Internet Options.

Click the Programs tab -> Reset Web Settings

wouldnt you like to prevent crapware from being installed on your pc in the first place so you can save yourself hours of frustration with things like this?

There is an easy answer to this question for most people: just switch your browser to Firefox. I used to remove crapware from pcs everyday, now there is none! NONE!

Also you should partition your hard drive to protect your valuable files, having everthing on you C:\ Drive is suicide, you might lose it all someday. :x
