This is a combination of a screenshot of a real Longhorn desktop aurora using some more addittional effects and graphics. My personal custom version has two models added in. I will be working with this idea further and changing a few things and making more different versions.

Is it supposed to me more attractive to give the middle finger?

2. They are models (the one on the left (Laura) is from Empire clothing) and I'm sure they're over 18 if they're posing like that and are on the internet.

585232544

Really?

Where that? heh?

Found the site... : http://www.empire-clothing.com/eindex1.htm

Now where is the girl that erverybody want?

People don't like very much your wallpapers.

They just like this girl...

The only thing that you have done is to take a background and put the girl on it...

I'm not sure that I would want a wallpaper that flips me off. If that turns you on, then you need to just start taking Viagra, it probably works better than that anyway.

Oh and by the way, those might be models, but then again if you think about it, hoes are models too.

Edit: Not choosing sides at all. Worse things have been posted on Neowin. They don't really fit into the picture though.... try some other background. Not sure what, but I'm sure you'll think of something.

585232757

So don't use it if you don't like it. No one's forcing you to keep coming in here being negative about it. No, it doesn't really turn me on. I happened to like the colors used in the photos of them. And damn it will people get off of this ho labeling. Nobody knows them. We don't know for sure who they are and what they're like. And exactly, there has been worse here. The theme of this is using a Longhorn aurora, so I'm staying with it. And so many people, probably yourself included, dislike the girls so there's no point in me trying a different background.

Take a break to wash your eyes, this Aurora Background is more real then you are, if you have Avalon CTP installed you can even see it in action... But I guess you don't...

585232815

Thanks Jemaho. And thanks to AeroXperience for finally sharing some aurora backgrounds and other Longhorn stuff.

Yep, I think chaning the background would help a lot. I still don't like her flipping me off though, too bad about that. :pinch:

585232818

Like I all ready said, I just like the way the colors looked. Maybe if I had other ideas for a better background, if other people could think of some, I will consider trying it.

Is it supposed to me more attractive to give the middle finger?

585232835

No. It's just some trend some people like doing when thier pictures are taken. I had a friend that always enjoyed doing that. It's not really like they're trying to be mean or offend you though. It's just some trend, I don't really know.

So did we find their names? :p

585233332

The Empire clothing model is Laura.

There's a wallpaper section there. Look for it. Again, no one is being forced to enter any thread they don't like or if they don't like the person. If they do it, they just want to spam or troll and get themselves in trouble. And yes, that is a very common way a lot of wallpapers are made.

Here's a bigger version, minus some aurora effects. I think it looks better now and some things fit better now that the resolution is bigger. I'll probably work on a few other versions. I'm not good with graphics and I only like clean and simple. So if you want something more advanced, you're asking the wrong person.

NO unable to find out... hah... why not you send the link there?

Erveryone want it :)

Can you make this wall without 2 chicks on it??

585233566

Yes I just did for you and anyone else who wants it. It's below all this.

You must not have looked hard and long enough. I'll dig it up later.

nice one trunten :)

585234690

:) Thanks, I knew you'd like the ideas. :p Which I'm now out of so no one has to worry any more. Unless someone wants a version with just one girl and not both. :turned:

Brutal honesty is my policy. (Y)

I stand by my claims.

585234715

I'm okay with that, I'm not going to argue with them. Everyone's entitled to there own opinions. In fact, I always admire your honesty. (Y)

But I worry about you being in the buff in this thread with these girls though....

Lemmie take a minute to explain why I said your aurora was fake. I'm not saying your image is bad. What I was tryign to say is that you are posing that background as something doable currently, and that it was made by you. The wall I beleive was made by Trunten (I have the picture, however forgot to put the credit on it when I saved it), so the "your own work" is most liekly fake. The back ground I recall from the poster of the original said he made it by combining walls for MCE, some aurora screens, and the Longhorn orb png found hidden in 4074. Hope that clears that up.

Can you make it without the chicks or the Longhorn orb?

Read below this post. :)

Yea, it's all just a bit of miscommunication. I forgot to credit the right people in my original post like I had been doing in my other threads, and waited until later instead. So yea, now that this thread served its purpose, I'll clear up the confusion now. ;)

This is the original aurora background (since it got requested by itself anyway). I came up with an idea to add some things to it, like I had previously done with a Media Center Edition background. So all I can take credit for was the simple idea for adding some things onto it. We had "Classix Girls", and even an attempted "Longhorn Girls" a long time ago, so I felt like trying "Aurora Girls". :p

Credit for the original aurora background should probably go to Microsoft, but credit for sharing it (this one) goes to "thesleeper" over at AeroXperience. (Y) The other graphics (other aurora effects) were posted by BOFH at ieXbeta a long time ago. The Empire clothing model, Laura, we all ready covered that. But I don't know who the other one is or where she came from. :ninja:

the wall looks better without the girls :shifty:

thanks for re-posting the wall without decorations :)

because the girls collage is not so fine :pinch:

the first girl in black looks nice to me though not the second one

do they really look like like underage ? or too undressed ? really ?

but yeah, we've all seen these girls too much lately

constructive criticism please guys

Ive been watching your stuff for a long time, ive also seen you go through more dragonball names then id care to remember,

buddy, im sorry this is Sh!t. you could have come up with something 100 times more creative then throwing 2 decent (not my type) chicks on a background with a glow around em. Do yourself a favor, and study the skill.

Thanks very much.  :)

You're welcome.

You're welcome. They don't look too young to me or too "undressed". If they had, I wouldn't have bothered with any of this. I can't help that so many other people really liked them, that's beyond my control.

i have to say this is one of the funniest threads ive read on here thx trunten and Keldyn

585244025

There's always good times when the two of us are around.

We still need the name of the unknown female :p

585244318

I doubt that we'll ever know. At least I don't know.

You've been around about as long as I have. I have made worse than this before, and if you haven't ever seen it, than be glad you only saw this. Graphics are not one of my better talents, however I don't give a ****. I know only what I need to know and want to know. I like clean and simple. Heck, I even learned from Radish? himself a few years ago about how that's the better way to go. Doubt he'd remember, but I learned some stuff from him. Anyway, no one's being forced to come into here and look at my works if they don't like them. Especially if they know who I am and what I have made and can make. Why people insist on entering threads just to start up trouble is beyond me. And by the way, this account has never had a name change. But since the secret's out thanks to you, if you did know the other old me, that one only had two changes and only two Dragonball Z like names. I never had a lot that would be hard to remember.

I am done with my ideas for these wallpapers, but only because I choose to and not because of what others think. Thank you to those that had kind words to say and liked my works. I'm done with this thread, do with it whatever you want now....

Hey, graphics may not be you're strong point, but you've still got bucket loads more talent that me! I've got no sense of colour coordination or style, so I wouldn't even dare to attempt a wallpaper, even if it is "just" putting a few bits together!

In all honesty, the one with the girls on isn't my cup of tea, but I do like the one with the orb.

Thanks for taking the time to share your work!

(And thanks for putting up with some un-needed crap!)

    • The quantum search for Time's origin had an equally mind-boggling conclusion by Sayan Sen Image by Steve Johnson via Pexels A theoretical study from researchers at the University of Surrey suggested that the direction of time may not be fundamentally fixed in certain quantum systems. The work, published in Scientific Reports, examined how the “arrow of time” could emerge from microscopic physics and found that time-reversal symmetry can remain intact even in models used to describe processes such as energy loss and thermalisation. The arrow of time refers to the observed one-way direction from past to future in everyday life. In macroscopic processes, this is easy to see. Spilled milk spreads across a table and does not gather back into a glass, and heat flows from hotter objects to colder ones. These processes shape the common sense idea that time moves in a single direction. However, at the level of fundamental physics, many equations do not prefer a direction of time. Time-reversal symmetry means that the same physical laws can describe a system whether time moves forward or backward. This has made it difficult to explain why irreversible behaviour appears in the large-scale world even when the underlying rules do not require it. Dr Andrea Rocco, Associate Professor in Physics and Mathematical Biology at the University of Surrey, described this contrast: "One way to explain this is when you look at a process like spilt milk spreading across a table, it's clear that time is moving forward. But if you were to play that in reverse, like a movie, you'd immediately know something was wrong – it would be hard to believe milk could just gather back into a glass. However, there are processes, such as the motion of a pendulum, that look just as believable in reverse. The puzzle is that, at the most fundamental level, the laws of physics resemble the pendulum; they do not account for irreversible processes. Our findings suggest that while our common experience tells us that time only moves one way, we are just unaware that the opposite direction would have been equally possible." The study focused on open quantum systems, which are quantum systems that interact with a surrounding environment. This environment, often described as a heat bath, can exchange energy and information with the system. The researchers used this framework to study how a direction of time might appear even when the underlying physics does not enforce one. A key part of the analysis involved the Markov approximation. This is a simplification used in many models where the system is assumed not to retain memory of its past states. The idea is that changes depend only on the current state, not on earlier history. This is commonly used when studying thermalisation, which is the process where a system settles into equilibrium with its environment. The study also used concepts such as master equations, including the Lindblad and Pauli equations, which describe how probabilities of different quantum states change over time. Another related model discussed was quantum Brownian motion, which describes the random-like movement of a quantum particle interacting continuously with its environment. In these descriptions, a “memory kernel” can appear, which is a mathematical term that accounts for how past states influence current behaviour. The researchers found that applying the Markov approximation did not break time-reversal symmetry. Even when the system interacted with an effectively infinite heat bath, the resulting equations of motion remained symmetric in time. This meant that the same mathematical description could, in principle, run forward or backward in time without contradiction. The study further showed that standard frameworks used in open quantum systems, including quantum Brownian motion and master equations like the Lindblad and Pauli forms, could be written in a time-symmetric way. These equations are typically used to describe processes that look irreversible, such as dissipation and thermalisation, but the results suggested they can also be interpreted as allowing evolution in both time directions. Thomas Guff, Research Fellow in Quantum Thermodynamics, said: "The surprising part of this project was that even after making the standard simplifying assumption to our equations describing open quantum systems, the equations still behaved the same way whether the system was moving forwards or backwards in time. When we carefully worked through the maths, we found that this behaviour had to be the case because a key part of the equation, the "memory kernel," is symmetrical in time. We also found a small but important detail which is usually overlooked – a time discontinuous factor emerged that kept the time-symmetry property intact. It’s unusual to see such a mathematical mechanism in a physics equation because it's not continuous, and it was very surprising to see it appear so naturally." The researchers also noted that deriving a one-way arrow of time from time-reversal symmetric microscopic dynamics remains an open problem across fields such as thermodynamics, statistical mechanics, particle physics, and cosmology. Their results suggested that some standard descriptions of irreversible behaviour in open quantum systems may be better understood using a time-symmetric formulation of Markovianity. According to the study, processes such as thermalisation, which are usually treated as irreversible, could in theory be described in a way that allows evolution in either time direction under the same rules. This does not imply that time reversal occurs in everyday life, but rather that the underlying equations do not strictly enforce a single direction. Overall, the findings suggested that the perceived direction of time may emerge from how physical systems are modelled and approximated, rather than from a fundamental asymmetry in the laws themselves. The researchers noted that this perspective could have implications for ongoing work in quantum mechanics, thermodynamics, and cosmology on the origin of time’s arrow. • A $300 price hike is insane! No one is going to want to pay that much!
    • Since the 1st one flopped, there is really no reason to make another one. It's just losing money left and right.
