[NCAA] Fed-Ex Orange Bowl

Recommended Posts

Typical response from someone located in Arlington, Texas. Let me guess, a Texas fan? Guess what, OU loves to hate Texas, but Big 12 is always better than non-conference. Just as I cheered for every other Big 12 team, including Texas, in their bowl.

Anyway, for the second year in a row, OU goes to the National Championship and hands the trophy to the other team as a gift. Once again we played horrible. All I can really say positively is that a lot of guys will be gone next year and we can rebuild, primarily Jason White. He really isn't all that good, and I'm glad to see him gone so that other players have a chance. I feel sorry for people like Paul Thompson who had the chance to be great players but never got their chance. We have a lot of talent in QBs right now, and I am glad we will get a chance to actually see them now.

I guess this pretty definatively shows who is national champs. USC played very well, and with that combined with OU's horrible playing, came out with a huge lead. I'd be surprised to see many polls go to anyone other than USC.

Great job to USC, Auburn, and Utah, all going undefeated this year, and best of luck to all of them next year. I'm looking forward to another great year of football next year. I think the way this season ended just sets up an even more exciting year next year.

Boise State lost...

Im so glad USC won that game big. Im sick of listening to OU fans say that Auburn may be good but theyre not on the same level. USC pretty much knocked them off their high horse. OU has played sloppy football all season. Ive been saying all along that USC will pick apart OU's weak pass defense.

Go Trojans

I cheer for all Big 12 Schools in bowl season but in the regular season I hate you all wink.gif

I couldn't agree more. Bring it on :p

Oh, crap, I knew that, sorry. I got lost in thinking back over the season at the teams that did very well and accidently put them in there. They DID lose their last game in a heartbreaker for them. I'm surprised it got all the way to you before anyone noticed that

To respond to the rest of what you said... I'll be the first to say that OU wasn't an incredible team this year. All year I saw holes in the team that never seemed to be exploited too much, and therefore were never a big deal as we continued to win all our games. However, the OU team that played tonight, was, again just like last year, not the same OU team that played all season.

I have said all along that Auburn was good, I just don't think they are #1 good, and I still don't. I think that USC would beat Auburn if they played. I also think that if Auburn and OU played, it would be a very close game, too close to predict. I have never said Auburn wasn't at the same level, I just think they are at the same level, but not quite as good.

I would have much rather had a difference system that would have given them the chance to play OU and/or USC though. I'm hoping that next year they will get another chance to do well, although it's unlikely as Auburn will be losing a lot of their big players just like OU is.

Oh well, it's all over now, the past is the past. There is no point on looking back on it and complaining about things that wont change. Lets just cheer on the new champs USC.

The worst part in the game was the Halftime Show :x Ashely Simpson needs to stay off live stages

Haha, oh yeah, did you hear how many people booed when they first announced her name, and then after she finished? That was incredible. I was laughing my ass off. Hell, if I had been there I'd have been booing right along with them. She's absolutely horrible.

I never watch the stupid halftime shows but I had to stick around long enough to hear how the crowd would respond to that no talent having girl.

Wow...That was one of the worst beatdowns i've ever seen in a national title game...OU got taken behind the shed and spanked :)

That wasn't even close compared to the absolutely disgusting, most lopsided victory I've seen...

Nebraska 62 Florida 24, 1995 Fiesta Bowl.

Nebraska absolutely destroyed Florida in every single area of the game. And they didn't throw the ball too many times like USC did tonight. They ran for 524 yards and Tommie Frazier had 200 yards rushing by himself (a freakin quarterback!). I still say his touchdown run where he ran over 8 Gator defenders was the greatest run I've ever seen.

I'm being serious here:

Would LSU consider re-hiring Nick Saban if and when he fails with the Dolphins?

585235904[/snapback]

I am sure they would IF Les Miles does not have any success. Nick Saban was like a GOD in Louisiana. I was down there with family for Christmas and plenty of us were in a bad mood because he was leaving. LSU football is BIG TIME down there.

How does OU end up being ranked number 3 at the end after that loss? What a crock!

if there was a playoff, we wouldn't have anything to argue about ;)

OU was an absolute joke last night. OU has ruined the MNC game 2 years in row. White is the most overrated Heisman winner in the history of college football (since winning, he lost 1 of 2 big 12 champtionship games and 2 of 2 MNC games, and the only reason he won the 2nd big 12 CG was because it was against a .500 colorado team).

thank god OU will not be a contender next year.

Actually, he hadn't won the Heisman before the Big 12 Championship against Kansas State :p I don't think White is overrated he just plays terrible in the biggest of games.

I agree, though, OU has not shown up for the big games lately, which is really disappointing. I was really hoping for the opposite of last year's NC but instead they were even worse.

    • KillerPDF 1.4.2 by Razvan Serea KillerPDF is a lightweight, portable PDF editor for Windows built for users who want full control without subscriptions, installers, or telemetry. It runs as a single executable, making it ideal for USB use and field work. You can view PDFs with smooth PDFium rendering, navigate quickly with thumbnails, zoom, and shortcuts, and reorganize pages using drag-and-drop. It supports merging multiple PDFs, splitting documents, and extracting selected pages. KillerPDF also allows inline text editing with font matching to preserve the original layout, plus annotations like text boxes, freehand drawing, highlights, and reusable signatures. You can search full text, copy content easily, and print documents with flattened annotations. Designed as a free and open alternative to bloated PDF tools, it works fully offline on Windows 10/11 x64. No runtimes install. Everything needed is inside the EXE (targets .NET Framework 4.8, which ships with every supported Windows release). KillerPDF key features: High-quality PDF rendering via PDFium Edit PDF text inline (double-click to modify text) Page thumbnails and fast navigation with zoom and shortcuts Merge multiple PDFs into one Split PDFs and extract selected pages Drag-and-drop page reordering Font matching to preserve original document appearance Text boxes for notes Freehand drawing tools Highlight overlays with adjustable color, size, opacity Undo actions and clear per-page annotations Create, draw, and save reusable signatures Click-to-place signatures anywhere Full-text search with highlighted results Drag-select or Ctrl+A to copy text Print with annotations flattened Portable single-file app (~10 MB) No installer, no admin rights required No account, no telemetry KillerPDF 1.4.2 changelog: What's new PDF form filling. Interactive PDF forms now render their fields (text inputs, checkboxes, radio buttons) as live controls. Fill them in directly and save — field values are written back into the PDF. PDF outline (bookmark) navigation. A new OUTLINES tab in the sidebar displays the document's bookmark tree. Click any entry to jump to that page. The sidebar auto-fits its width to the longest entry on open and can be dragged wider; switching back to PAGES snaps to the pages-mode width. Fixed Page rotation no longer reverts after saving. Rotations applied via the sidebar context menu now persist correctly through the save pipeline. Copied text words were out of order on PDFs where glyphs are stored in non-reading order (Issue #66). Text extraction now sorts words by position and uses a dynamic line-grouping threshold so both drag-select and Select All produce correctly ordered output. PDFs with malformed or non-standard XRef tables now open in read-only mode instead of showing "Invalid entry in XRef table" and failing entirely. • The very fact that a TPM (v2.0 specifically which is part of the issue I suspect) is now a baseline for any supported Windows installation will naturally mean other vendors will start to leverage it as they know it'll be there. It's called progress, and it's always been the way. A TPM isn't a windows thing, it's just a module designed to securely store keys. Secure boot isn't a Windows thing (although MS are the TCA as I recall hence the upheaval this year as the 2011 certs expire), it's just a way to verify a bootloader is signed. Windows simply leverages them.
    • It's a local account with the ability to reset a password at a very base level. I really don't get the issue that gets whipped up around it But you do you
