Does Your School Allow MP3 Players?

We're allowed to have them whenever we want almost.

Speakers isn't allowed, but some teachers doesn't mind. :p

why would a school not allow you to bring them in?

seems a bit weird to me

i havent been to school for a couple of years, but u can do whatever the hell u want in my lectures :)

ah yes i forgot to add that your allowed them in sixth form (colledge), only 9 months untill im there :D

Some teacher let you use them while you work, however not when they are talking.

But some teachers take them away on sight. Stupid ****ing teachers.

wow, i'd be quite angry if it was lost or stolen during that week...

plus, are they really allowed to keep your property outside of school hours? i think in my highschool you would just have to have your parent come by to pick up whatever item after school (usually a CD player or gameboy)

anyhow, at college they don't care what you do as long as you're quiet :)

The staff don't care if you're listening to your audio player before or after school, or during lunchtime.

But you're not allowed to listen to it during classtime.

But when our teacher is away and we have a sub ... we listen to our audio players :cool: lol

We can listen in class. None of them are really bothered by we listening to music while he speaks.

For some reason, most Australian schools are uptight on listening to music during class.

Can't believe there are that few no votes. No wonder the world is so f***ed up! With all the schools allowing cell phones and MP3 players, how can anyone pay attention to what's going on? I wouldn't allow my kid to bring one to school whether they were allowed or not. :no:

Nup. My school bans every electronic gadget there is from phones to iPods and Walkmans (if you have them). However, you can use MP3 players and say its for mass storage and they won't mind.

Yes, but not when there giving a lecture but they never notice if your by a wall and only have one earphone in.

If the teacher cares and they see it, they will just tell you to put it away. Unlike cell phones, which they will take away.

Yes, they are fine. Most teachers dont even care if you take a smoke break during class.

This is a new problem I guess :) In any case, nobody ever took my cell phone or anything else i had with me (I even had a hard disk with me once!)
