can't you just download it from adaptec?

Try ftp://ftp2.nero.com/wnaspi32.dll

put it in c:winntsystem32 or wherever your system folder is and run from the start menu: regsvr32 wnaspi32.dll

that sounds about right. i thought that that file was only needed for burning, and not for games.

I thought it was too, I think it is used for direct access to the CD drive, thats probably why most cd rippers need it.
