I've got two home theatre setups which are fairly decent. Here's the first one which I put together over a year's worth of time (and money). The listed prices are what I paid for them:

TV:

Sony KV-32HS510 HDTV

Speakers:

Front - B&W DM604 S3 $1,200

Center - B&W LCR600 S3 $425

Power Center (not in photo when picture was taken):

Reference PowerCenter HTS 3500 MKII with Clean Power Stage 3 v.2.0 $250

Cables:

All speaker cabling and interconnects were done using the best Monster Cables I could find at Best Buy. I normally wouldn't use Monster Cables because they cost too much for their average performance, but I was able to purchase them at 50% off so I went for it.

Here is the second setup (once again, listed prices are what I paid for them):

dude, put some pics

darn I like your Rotel amp

I see you got it cheap!

do you like your sony HD tv?

585401318[/snapback]

Yeah, the salesman was real nice to me since I purchased the Rotel amp along with the B&W 700 speakers that same day so he cut me a deal.

The Sony RP-HDTV is alright. Picture is sorta noisy at times and only satisfies me when watching HDTV. DVDs don't look as good as I would like...but hey, that's what you get when you buy a RP-HDTV. My 32" tube HDTV on the other hand....man....DVDs are smooth as butta! I'm upgrading the 51" to a plasma within the next 2-3 months though so I'll post again once I get it.

I'm not, and never will be rich, so mine's pretty suck,

Philips 28" 28PW6518/05 With stand - ?399

dude, put some pics

Pics of what man ? The things I listed was just a joke... thats almost $350,000 of AV equip. !!

Or do you want boring pics of a crappy HDTV thats burning or a Onkyo set that cost more than its worth ? LOL

Even worse when my parents had the house built where they live now, they had a theater room built. Basically a way for the builder to jack the cost of the house another $50,000 and provide $1500 worth of equip. Actually it was $38,000 and one of the components they installed was a dual DVD burner (JVC)...I mean charged them like $2000 for the thing and they didnt realize the computer in the other room will do the same thing for $5.00

They wouldnt listen to me when I tried to advise them on the equip. basically, they couldnt believe their son might know more than a crook that builds houses !

I mean, everyone knows hanging sheetrock is a prerequisite for theater equipment !!

Do you sense some hostility ?

Back to the question -- What pics would you like , sir ?

:)

I'm 14 and don't have alot of money. so I dont have the greatist components but it's loud and thats all i need. :D

    • Indeed - drives me mad - usually because Refresh is hidden in the full menu.
    • Firefox has had rounded corners for many years. I take it you're not a fan of modern browsers?
    • The problem is in the fundamentals of how businesses are allowed to operate and the change should happen in the basics and certain consumer friendly and moral practices should be enforced by law. This would fix so many things, not just this ages old default browser issue which is a tiny drop in the backut that includes a flood of privacy and other issues.
