hello all,

right, straight off the bat, if you want cheaper insurance do pass + i was quoted 1300? for a 1.0GLS Corsa yr2000 when i was 20 in March '04, did PP and got it down to 800? with NORWICH UNION.

then in december '04 I smashed into a ditch wrote that off,

and i'm getting my new car soon when i turn 21(FEB), which is a 3.0 V6 Omega Elite insurance will be 1500? Fully Comp with ELEPHANT.CO.UK I suggest you try them, they are dead cheap.

but your quote is about right, your young, and won't appreciate the dangers of driving till you crash (I didn't) so your high risk, and tbh looking at that pic it looks modified which will kick it up nicely.

your first car should be a plain looking low powered supermini. get atleast a year under your belt in something quite bland, then get something nice, besides being your first car you'll probably wreck it and you'll be gutted if you mod it.

Am now 24 with 4 years no claims, and never any points / accidents / smashes / motoring offences of any kind.

Means I can insure my Corrado G60 now for around ?720 fully comp and thats with a reasonably comprehensive list of modifications. About time I started to get some rewards for years of paying through the nose for motor insurance!

man i hate the concept of insurance. pay for something that you many never use/need but as soon as you DO need it they put your through hell and then jack up your premiums so they can get their money back. ****in insurance companies.

anyways, I'm 23 with a 2002 Nissan Sentra and I pay $150/month. It woulda been higher but my dad is on as primary driver.

I can't believe no-one's suggested Adrian Flux. The fact that you're modding it (if even only a little bit) should point you in their direction, they specialise in insuring modified motors and get a lot of business from people who have just passed so should be pretty competitive.

    • You are clueless. The updates are done in the background so the next time you open Edge the updates are applied automatically. There is no need to close all your tabs. Just keep browsing like you normally do. Clearly you don't use Edge and are just one of those haters that complain for the sake of complaining.
    • I don't get this David. Can you explain it please.
    • Microsoft is busy. Lots of changes to be released imminently for Windows server or soon. Also, lots happening for next version as well. Third party virus scanning software is being moved out of Kernel mode to avoid repeat of Crowdstrike incident. Windows Protected Mode and Windows Ready Print no longer require third party print drivers to be installed. New storage stack being developed. New NVME drivers now available for Windows Server 2025 to improve local NVME drive performance by 60+ percent. NVME-Of of fabric being worked on for next release to improve network access to NVME drives. ReFs (next file system) now has ability to boot and will become default file system in next release of Windows Server. ReFs improves on NTFS in several areas including resiliency and reliability and scalability. New update stack is being worked on to unify Windows updates, and updates for drivers and first party/3rd party application software. A stricter and more robust third-party driver certification program (ODI) is being worked on to improve performance, thermals, battery life, and reliability on modern Windows hardware by tightening how OEMs and IHVs (Intel, AMD, Qualcomm, NVIDIA, etc.) build and ship drivers. There is a tone more but too numerous to mention.
    • Now disable that stupid OneDrive backup request when Windows starts please. So unbelievably frustrating to only have “remind me later” instead of “no and never ask me again”
