Honda's new Truck

Recommended Posts

my first thought on this is WTF? a honda truck?

Honda's are great cars, i'm about to buy one, other than that i do not see honda as a car company who produce powerful cars, even their sports car are 4 cylinder engines.. i don't like this truck. all their cars look like they were made out of soda cans.

just because their sports cars are only four bangers doesn't mean they aren't powerful.  the Japanese engineers have done amazing things with such a small powerplant.

i know i made sound bad.. but ya i know they can do a lot and they have.. but its just about their image.. at least the way i see it. i think its because there's too many civics over here :pinch:

they could at least start with a regular 2 door truck.. i just hope its as rugged as it looks.

the engine will not be a problem for this truck. I basically have the same one in my Pilot and its probably twice the weight. One thing I like about Honda engines is they are VERY quiet compared to other cars. I was looking at an Audi A4 4cyl, and it too noisy to drive comfortably for extended periods (even with its extra firewall/sound insulator).

You wouldn't think that a foreign company would make good trucks, but suprisingly they do. I was watching a TV show the other day in which the rated the top 5 trucks of 2004. The Nissan Titan ranked as the #1 truck in the list. If I can, I'll try to find something that matched up with the TV show.

i saw it at the Auto Show.. i don't really like the style. it felt like the sitting inside a Pilot, except everything is bigger. it was okay, but i still prefer domestic brands when it comes to trucks.. i mean look at the F-150 and especially the Super Duty F-350

hahaha that is biggest Chevy Avalanhcher ripoff i have ever seen.

How does the Avalanche and this truck look anything alike?

Anyway, I don't think they built it as a serious truck. They were probably aiming at people that sometimes need the space but still want luxury/reliability.

I think its a damn nice machine and I'm sure it is a very capable machine as Honda in my mind has a great reputation. I do agree though that they should have made a 2 door version as the load space is rather limited for those that need to carry larger payloads... and that Chevy Avalanche has to be the ugliest thing ever, this completely owns it in terms of looks...

You have to take the fart can off the exhaust pipe, first.

Hahaha, I was going to say that but you said it so much better than I could have.

Seriously though, my '91 CRX is still stock (thankfully) and it's amazingly quite even for being 14 years old.
