fr33k Posted January 16, 2005 Share Posted January 16, 2005 I just reformated and installed xp with sp2 one problem I just noticed is the I can't access diskmgmt.msc If I select defragmenter from compmgmt.msc the drives are there, but when I select a drive and press analyze nothing happens when I look at services and select the dependencies tab the dependencies panels are grayed out, and the selecter for the startup type for the RPC service is grayed out here is a list of running services C:\WINDOWS\system32>net startThese Windows services are started: COM+ Event System Cryptographic Services DHCP Client Event Log Fast User Switching Compatibility IPSEC Services kavsvc NVIDIA Display Driver Service Plug and Play Protected Storage Remote Procedure Call (RPC) Security Accounts Manager Server Shell Hardware Detection System Event Notification Terminal Services Themes TrueVector Internet Monitor Windows Audio Windows Management Instrumentatio Workstation The command completed successfully. how do I restore whatever is wrong?
