still sorting out my claim this week.

My Smashed up corsa

now i know it looks minor, but i managed to destroy the complete front suspension linkage and everything attached to it, bent the rear axle, and manage to bend the chassis?

it's been wrote off and i'm now settling with my insurance company

OH NOESSS!!!!!!!!!!!! TEH BIKE!!!!!

I'm crying already.

Good to know your ok. I take it was the drivers fault. "I never saw you mate"

insanekiwi, I had a motobike accident like yours too, I was riding my 125cc Aprillia RX:

aprirx50.jpg

And a car pulled out in front of me, and skidded around and my leg was in the motobike caught in the turn of the carboretta and my left arm was stuck under a car wheel crushed. I was unconcious. :o See I don't do things by halfs. ;)

I woke up 2 hours later still at the scene with no feeling of my body at all, and fire crew and police officiers where sorting things out, and Fireman had to cut and remove the front axel of the car to release my wrist and cut the bike straight in half to get my leg out. My leg was just disjointed, but my arm was no more. (Had no bone in it) I was rushed by helicopter to Hospital and when straight into surgery and had my leg snapped and put back into place and my arm is bone replaced and working with 8 pieces of metal, 12 Metal Pins and screws and my skin. ;) Nice. And it only took 2 Operations.

Also, while this was all happening I had photographers taking pictures of me and the accidient without helping me. Stupid twats. The Car Driver had only 1 cut on his head by hitting the side window. There were photographs and an article released in the local newspapers around here, but I have only heard stories about them, I haven't seen the articles and pictures, and honestly never want too. It wasnt a good day for me.

Well thats my Crash for you all to hear. ;)

and during its repairs: (notice front end was completely removed and engine sitting on ground)

repair.jpg

Originally they found about $16,000 worth of damage, which wasn't enough to total it. Ordered all new parts and starting working on it, found some more, brought it up to about $18,300 worth of damage, which was 80%+ of car's value and would have totaled it, but they already got parts and started working in it.

A little over a month later, i got the car back. You wouldn't know that it was in an accident. Neither me or the passenger got a scratch on us. :p

i've only had someone hit me, but no point posting pictures was a few smacked pannels, and the main tridion of the car (the main safety part of the car) just had a big long dent in it, not sure what the insureance company did to fix it. but total came to something like under ?300 car is worth about 5k P.S i drive a smart car and proud of it.

someone went across the front of my dad, 2 front wings, bonnet and bumper also a rad. he was in the Mercedes A-Class at the time but the airbag didn't go off because he was doing less then 5 mph.

brother car was smashed up by some ###### that don't like him. every panel had a dent in it so it was beyond repair because of the cost

now my sisters car on the other hand well i find some pics tomorrow and post them, also with some pics.

    • Why? Does anybody actually want this? The constant need to close all browser sessions and wait for a new version to install, just so that there’s a integrated coupon manager feels like a waste of everyone’s time
    • I remember when Louis used to just do interesting Mac/iPhone repairs, now he's boring and just launches "crusades" every week
    • A shame it don't allow people to bypass the MS account, I will stick to using Rufus.
    • Microsoft about to radically change how often your Edge browser updates by Paul Hill Microsoft has just announced that starting with Edge 152, it will be moving to a two-week release cycle for faster, smaller updates. This faster release cadence will begin on August 27. This change comes just several months after Microsoft switched Visual Studio Code to weekly updates. The company said that the Extended Stable releases will remain on an eight-week cycle and that no admin changes are needed to experience the faster release cycle on the Stable channel. The new two-week release cycle will enable the faster delivery of security updates and platform improvements, all while reducing the size and complexity of individual updates. Microsoft claims that organizations will benefit from this change as it offers predictable validation cycles. For organizations that prefer a “more deliberate pace”, the Extended Stable channel remains an option. This change will affect Edge Stable releases on Windows, macOS, Linux, and mobile. The Extended Stable channel will continue to be updated every eight weeks, or every fourth Stable release, for example: versions 152, 156, 160, and 164. The Extended Stable could be a good option for organizations that don’t want the latest updates twice a month and don’t want as much hassle constantly updating browsers. In the case of Visual Studio Code, many of the updates being pushed by Microsoft are AI-related. As we all know, Microsoft Edge has a lot of AI features, so we could see Microsoft pushing more AI, thanks to the faster cycles. On the flip side, quicker releases could mean faster security updates, which is beneficial in a world where AI systems are hunting for software exploits. What do you think? Let us know in the comments. For more updates on Edge, be sure to follow Neowin's coverage. In May alone, we reported on Edge offering in-browser pop-ups to assist users with website compatibility issues, that Edge was losing Copilot Mode, and that Microsoft had fixed a plain-text password bug in Edge. • not yet, because at the moment it is not a threat to MS, if and I mean if it did become a threat to MS Office, then it may be a different thing. MS don't like competition
