Cant play Msn messenger's solitaire showdown!

For some odd reason I cant play solitaire showdown with my girlfriend. It would either say it is temprorarily down or when I send her the invite she would not get the invite and therefore cant accept.. when she sends me invites I cant see it either and therefore can not accept.. it worked before perfectly about 2 years ago.. now it never works!!! Anybody else had this problem or know how to fix this?
